Student’s part of this research was from a private school in a city part of Sao Paulo’s State. In fact, it aimed to verify possible contributions obtained by using a specific didactic sequence linked with Geography teaching. Thereunto, virtual games and educommunication tools were used to promote literacy and scientific dissemination through Digital Information Technologies and Communication. In terms of method utilized, a qualitative-descriptive method was used since it applied observation, analysis, and data comparison to obtain results. In addition, the methodology helped to solve problems throughout the project phase until it reached its final presentation. As a final result of this project, it was observed that students could develop not only active learning but also creative learning throughout the process. As assistance, students had tea...

Based on indicators found in the literature that point to scientific literacy and models proposed by Lawson to define the structure of the argument, a table was elaborated to relate the argumentation of children in the second year of elementary school, leveling it in five levels that point to the logical reasoning and the dominion of content, taking into account Wittgenstein's linguistic games. To analyze what level the children were at, a didactic sequence was elaborated that allowed the observation and study of the arguments used by them. Considering such activities and the children's age group, it was observed that they tend not to complete the argumentative sequence, but they already have strong traces of scientific literacy.

First, the harmonic distortions problem and quantification through the Fourier series will be presented. Then, experimental methods for the correction of distortions will be presented in didactic way aiming to associate basic concepts of physics and mathematical tools to quantify the problem. To measure the harmonic distortion rates, before and after the correction, the FFT (Fast Fourier Transform) spectrum was used, demonstrating its application. The results will demonstrate that experimental activities had as main highlight the reduction of TDH (Harmonic Distortion Rate) from 71% to 11% using only destructive interference.

The material chosen to simulate the friction discs under load is aluminum. The numerical simulation was done by software COMSOLTM Multiphysics. The results obtained for static loads showed enough stiffness for both geometries and the material utilized. On the other hand, in the fatigue standpoint, failure is clearly verified, what demonstrates the importance of both approaches, mainly dynamical analysis. The results and the conclusion are based on the stresses on disc, counted stress cycles, and fatigue usage factor.

In this paper we present a brief overview of Special and Inclusive Education in Brazil in the light of its laws, guidelines and resolutions, seeking to show mainly a little of the difficulty of including people with disabilities in the school system. Presenting the advancement of public policies and the trajectory followed by the struggle for inclusion of people with disabilities in search of an equal and accessible education for all. For this purpose, the commercial software FluentTM was applied satisfactorily. Threedimensional numerical models for various openings of the radial stop log gate were generated, which is ultimately responsible for closing the diversion. The validation of the numerical model was done by comparing data from a reduced physical model, previously studied in laboratory where it was found the correct capture and interpretation of the hydraulic phenomena present – and the numerical model (methodology) applied in similar / derivative works.

The special discretization has been done by two variants of the finite Element Method: Galerkin Finite Element Method (GFEM) and Least Squares Finite Element Method (LSFEM). Three applications are presented. The first for a regular double connected domain; the second for a regular multi-connected domain and the third application for an irregular multi-connected domain. In all applications are considered Dirichlet boundary conditions. The results obtained in the present work are compared with results from Ansys® simulations. The results of each method are presented and discussed and the characteristics and advantages of the methods are also discussed.

To demonstrate this study two cases (the first with exact solution for comparison of results) are presented in the same multi-connected geometry, of easy construction, to facilitate the comparison of the results of this paper with future studies of other researchers.

The efficiency of solution methods is evaluated according to the number of iterations that each method needs to lead to a solution within the specified tolerance. The solution using Fourier-Bessel series is not an iterative method, however, it was analyzed the number of terms required to achieve the accuracy of the prescribed solution.

Besides analyzing the results from the primary variable (temperature), the finite element approximations were used to find the derivative of the temperature in all three directions. This technique does not provide an order of accuracy compatible with the one found in the temperature solution; thereto, a calculation from the third order finite differences is proposed here, which provide the best results, as demonstrated by the first two applications proposed in this paper. Lastly, the presentation and the discussion of a real application with two cases of boundary conditions with singularities are proposed.
