The model offers a portable e-wallet that is installed in a removable storage (e.g. flash memory). Further, the model is supposed to provide a secure, anonym, traceable and portable payment, which can be conducted by users in P2P transaction. Users of Business-to-Consumer (B2C) and Consumer-toBusiness (C2B) can also use the model in micropayment transactions. Key-Words: e-payment, consumer-to-consumer transaction, person-to-person payment, micro payment, electronic wallet, electronic cash.

Value is a construct that is hard to define and even harder to model and understand. This paper provides a framework of theoretical analysis that helps the scholars to think about the concept of value creation in the new digital economy. Researchers and practitioners are struggling to identify factors that contribute in creating e-business value. This paper also evaluates these factors with a focus on value creation from adopting e-business in the firms. The presented evaluation is mined from the literatures and from our own experience in e-business strategies. The paper provides a theoretical survey for exploring the common ground between factors that create such a value. The introduced survey covers perspectives, definition, sources and drivers of e-business value creation.

They are always in rush to deploy their updated contents with high qualit y in a competiti ve time. Due to lack of web change management systems and tools, most of the current web systems have problems with contents that are corrupted, outdated and inconsistent. Current content management systems and studios, li ke Rational Suite Content Studio [1], MS SourceSafe [2], Harvest [3] and PVCS [4], aid developers to build applications in systematic and concurrent workflow. Such tools do not support issues related to content maintainabilit y such as change impact analysis and propagation.

It involves partners from sixteen Euro-Mediterranean states . Each partner contributes through a node called Avicenna Knowledge Centre (AKC), which produces e-courses and e-learning objects. For seek of interoperability, part ners setup a pedagogical standard to guide the production process of learning objects. Further more, researchers adopted and recommended SCORM as a standard model for structuring learning objects of AVC. At the end, the paper introduces some lessons that have been learned while developing e-courses of the AVC.

A better understanding of these factors can aid policy makers to proactively design interventions (e.g., marketing, training etc.) to increase the utilization of CAATs. Borrowing from Information Systems (IS) research, we employ the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) to examine the determinants of intention to adopt CAATs by internal auditors. Using 105 valid responses from internal auditors in Jordan, the paper found that CAATs adoption is influenced by performance expectancy and effort expectancy. The results suggest that policy makers should encouraged internal auditors t...

For the speed regulation, a relative position of the field magnet to the armature coils is detected to form a train of position detecting pulses. A reference frequency pattern with a frequency corresponding to a speed command is formed. A phase difference between the reference frequency pattern and the position detecting pulse train is detected. A propulsion force command of a linear motor is obtained by setting different limit values in the positive and negative parts of the phase difference signal. A sinusoidal current waveform pattern is formed in synchronism with the position detecting pulse tr...

With the facility of connecting people and information world- widely, the Internet has a major impact on the traditional education. Currently, students can easily access online courses at anytime anywhere in the globe. Since the Internet has been adopted by students, traditional pedagogical models are no more appropriate models. Consequently, new pedagogical models are required. Such models should be student-centric that based on individual student's learning expectation, styles, interests and abilities. In this paper, first we discuss these four dimensions and then we introduce an individualized learning model that takes these dimensions into account. It discusses 1) student learning styles, 2) student learning interests and 3) student...

The technological pace and the advent of the knowledge society will set in the next years the new context for e-learning evolution. This makes lifelong learning a necessity for everyone. An e-learning project is a promising solution to the demand for a flexible means of delivering knowledge to educate a large number of people over a vast area. MIS-Online project is an e-learning project in ministry of education in Jordan. The main objective of the project is to develop e-materials based on the curriculum of the Management Information Stream (MIS), which is an academic stream in the secondary schools. The adopted pedagogical model is project-based learning, through the development of different scenarios that link to different themes in the MIS textbooks. This paper describes this experience with the developed storylines.

For the purposes of our research some constructs were added to (TOE) framework such as IT/Business strategy alignment, adequacy of IT professionals, and availability of online revenues. Other factors were excluded such as the global scope since our research is at the national level in Jordanian banking sector. Based on our enhanced framework, we have formulated eight hypotheses and identify eight factors (technology readiness or competence, bank size, financial resources commitment, IT/Business strategy alignment, adequacy of IT professionals, availability of online revenues, competition intensity or pressure, and regulatory support environment) that may affect value creation of carrying out e-business in Jordanian banking sector. Survey data from 140 employees in seven pioneered banks in the Jordanian b...

In this chapter we present a comprehensive framework that mines and detect fraudulent transactions of Card-Not-Present (CNP) in the e-payment systems with a high degree of accuracy.

Typically, information is being published via different channels that push information to readers. The main vehicle of information publishing is cataloging, indexing, searching, and marketing techniques. However, information that is being published via social networks is pulled and consumed by a participant (more than a reader). Information in social networks is virally published and consumed. This chapter discusses five pillars of social publishing to best utilize its features: (1) determine the nature and the structure of social networks; (2) viralize (viral-ready) the information; (3) evaluate the social information; (4) profile-oriented publishing; and (5) understand social capital as an economic value of social networks. At the end, this chapter presents a case study that embeds the concept of social networks information literacy within the e-Marefa database, which has been chosen as it includes over 252 000 rec...

Plenty of work has been done on different aspects of agents development. This paper presents a survey of research activities in the development of intelligent agents. The survey categorizes the agent related work into three main theoretical based areas: (1) Interaction protocols, (2) Design and architecture, (3) Agent applications. The purpose of this categorization is to understand the main research driven directions in this promising field, and help in choosing a particular direction for more in depth studies.
