Efforts have been made to manage workforce diversities through a number of strategies but there are indications that these practices have not yielded expected performance results. Therefore, the aim of the study was to investigate the relationship between sensitivity training and organization performance of county governments in North Rift region of Kenya. The study also sought to determine the moderating effect of staff rationalization on the relationship between sensitivity training and performance. The specific objectives of the study were to: assess the effects of board composition, establish the effects of number of non-executive directors and determine the influence of SACCO leadership on the financial performance of KITE SACCO society. The study was guided by a self-conceptualized framework with corporate governance practices as independent variables and financial performance of Saccos as the dependent variable. It adopted causal research design with all the 19 targeted staff members of the Sacco forming the sample size . The study used both primary and secondary data. Performance of employees in any organization is one of the major determinants of profitability an... more Performance of employees in any organization is one of the major determinants of profitability and sustainability. In any organization employees are major assets, they play a major role towards the organizations' success. There is the need for research to focus on the determinants of productivity and performance of employees in organizations. Career Advancement is many at times used to narrow the gap between the current performance and future expected performance. Empirical studies reveal that there is little research carried out on the link between career Advancement and employee performance in educational institutions. After the initial training many employees in Catholic Church managed schools have undertaken other trainings but have not moved up the ladder; rather they have stagnated at the same position with no or little to show in terms of career advancement. Catholic Church managed schools require employees who perform their duties well yet there is little to show in terms of promotions, students" results and advancement in these schools; lack of career advancement in these schools is still a problem. This paper presents a study on the effect of career advancement on employee performance in Catholic Church managed secondary schools in Meru Diocese Kenya. It adopts a descriptive research design since the researcher gathered both qualitative and quantitative data that describes the effect of career advancement in Catholic Church managed high schools in Meru Diocese. The target population includes all the 481 employees of all the Catholic Church managed high schools in Meru Diocese; this includes both the teaching and non-teaching staff. A census survey was used in selecting all the Catholic Church managed schools in Meru Diocese, purposive sampling was done to deliberate on the choice of respondents who are well informed and are at the management level. A total of 52 employees who are senior managers were picked. The study used a semi-structured questionnaire; in addition, there was an interview guide as data collection tool for collecting the primary data. The findings of the study were analysed using inferential statistics and descriptive statistics; inferential statistics was linear regression model and descriptive statistics include the use of weighted means, standard deviation, relative frequencies, and percentages. There was content analysis for interview guide because it gives qualitative data. The data was then coded to enable the responses to be grouped into various categories. Tables and other graphical presentations were used appropriately to present the data that was collected for ease of understanding and analysis. Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) version 21, is a tool that was used to assist in analysis. The study established that career advancement had a positive effect on employee performance in the Catholic Church managed secondary schools in Meru Diocese. Study recommendations for further research are that research be conducted on the effect of remuneration and motivation on employees" performance in the Catholic Church managed secondary schools in Meru Diocese and on how lack or availability of resources affects performance in the Catholic Church managed secondary schools in Meru Diocese.

Internet banking is about creating complementary distribution channels in form of information technology. The study used descriptive survey research design. Both quantitative and qualitative data were collected to meet the objective. The proposed study area was Kisumu City targeting all the 34 commercial banks. The structural adjustment programmes (SAPS) together with other neoliberal policies introduced by Britton wood institutions has had major implications for the education sector in Kenya. The greatest effect has been on the human resource working in institutions of higher learning that have been faced by various challenges including career stagnation. Data was collected by use of literature review and questionnaire. The research found out that contrary to the popular believe that people in Tirap do not know much about counseling it has been observed that an overwhelming majority (70%) preferred counseling as an alternative to resolving the effects of land disputes. Though services from governmental organizations are not widely available, most service providers are particularly world vision and the Catholic Church with 71% of the respondents having received counseling from these organizations. It has also been noted that 71% of those who received counseling reported to have coped better. The researcher therefore recommends that more counseling services needs to be started in this locality to supplement the already existing.
