The proposed control scheme is based on a supervisory switching logic which, at any time instant, select the most appropriate controller from a bank of pre-computed candidate predictive regulators. Each candidate controller is tuned for minimal energy control on to a different control horizon. The larger the control horizon, the smaller the energy of the required inputs. An example is provided for showing the effectiveness of the proposed approach. I.

One of the controllers proposed in that paper, based on angular velocity feedback only, asymptotically stabilizes the hanging equilibrium of the pendulum. This paper continues this line of research, providing a description of an experimental setup and a sample of experimental results illustrating the closed loop properties of the 3D pendulum. Experimental results are discussed and compared with the theory presented in the previous paper.

The proposed scheme is based on a two levels Supervisory Switching Logic. It selects the most appropriate controller from a bank of candidate control laws, depending on the state of the actuators. In order to establish the working conditions of the satellite, techniques of fault detection and fault diagnosis are adopted.

Relative position and attitude dynamics are considered. For suitable initial conditions the proposed control scheme produces system evolutions that fulflll the coordination constraints at any time and satisfy desirable control performance. This is accomplished by using a bank of Command Governor units in a hybrid framework. An example is provided in order to exhibit the efiectiveness of the technique. Copyright © 2006 IFAC

In that paper, several different classifications were given and models were developed for each classification. Control problems were posed based on these various models.
