Desired information was collected by questionnaire was analyzed in SPSS 26 software. It revealed that majority women were studied upto secondary standard and were associated with agriculture and animal husbandry together. Mehsani breed of buffalo and Crossbred cow was main preference of women dairy farmers. Mean age of women dairy farmers was about 42 years. Average family members were 5.42. Among total 150 respondents 121 and 110 women have reared cows and buffaloes, respectively. Average numbers of cows were about 2.5 times more than buffaloes. Total average herd strength including cows and buffaloes were 7.03. Housing management practices used by women dairy farmers of SK district are showing that majority of respondents (75%) have pakka house with concrete floor located mostly in proximity to their dwellings. Concrete was mostly preferred. Majority of them were having manger and practically all farms were well ventilated. Thus, it can conclude that women in study area are possessing good number of cattle and buffaloes with good housing facility.

Desired information was collected by questionnaire was analyzed in SPSS 26 software. Majority of women were belonged to midlife age. Significant higher numbers of women was lived in nuclear family (73.9%) in pakka houses. Majority of women were rearing 3 animals by mixed farming system along with agriculture. As majority was holding 2.4-6 acre land with open well irrigation facility. Majority were bathing (23%) and washing teats (91%) before milking. Few were using teat dip cups before and after milking. Knuckling method of milking was employed by majority of respondents (57%). California Mastitis Test (CMT) was used by few women to diagnose mastitis. Vaginal discharge was principle sign used for heat detection by majority of women. Majority of women were able to breed their animals within three months of calving. AI was very popular in studied region; mostly AI workers and semen of cooperative dairy were in demand for it. Half respondents were doing AI after 12-24 hours of onset of oestrous. Services/conception was 2 in majority cases. Nearly all respondents were feeding colostrum to calves. Majority of respondents were vaccinating their animals for FMD and HS vaccines. It can conclude that women dairy farmers of SK district are practicing dairy farming very well, however, awareness about modern practices needs to be created among for further improvement in performance of dairy farming in SK district.

This investigation was planned to study the pathogenicity of IBH virus by infecting broilers through intramuscular route using liver homogenate of IBH affected birds. Total 20 birds of two age groups were selected for the in vivo study, which included day-old broiler chicks (n=10, Group A) and twenty days old chickens (n=10, Group B). In both Group A and B, five birds each were inoculated with 0.2 ml infected liver homogenate suspension by i/m route, i.e. treatment groups (T) and remaining five birds injected i/m with 0.2 ml normal saline served as control groups (C). All birds were kept under observation for five days to record morbidity and mortality. In infected/treated chicks of Group A, 100% mortality was observed on third day, while in infected/treated chickens of Group B only 40% mortality was recorded within five days of observation period. Clinical signs like reduced feed intake and depressed appearance were observed in both the in vivo infected groups. However, hydropericardium syndrome was observed in infected birds of only Group B. Eosinophilic intranuclear inclusion bodies were observed in the hepatic cells of both the infected groups, which confirmed the disease as inclusion body hepatitis. The results indicated that the 0.2 ml liver homogenate of IBH affected birds was more pathogenic in day-old chicks than the older ones due to age factor.

The biochemical attributes glucose, total protein, albumin and globulin showed noticeable significant increase in treated Group-I (Cephalexin) and Group- II Ciprofloxacin + Tinidazole) as compared to untreated Group-III (control), whereas cholesterol levels were not affected significantly in present study. However the concentration of glucose in blood plasma of Group-III was significantly lower (P<0.05) as compared to treated Groups-I and II during all phases of oestrus cycle except on day of oestrus. These biochemical indices were significantly low in repeat breeding Mehsana buffaloes which were indicative of non infectious causative factors for repeat breeding condition.

Total eighteen health repeat breeder Mehsana buffaloes were selected and divided in three groups. Animals of Subgroups-I and II were treated with 4 gm Cephalexin powder and Ciprofloxacin 125 mg + Tinidazole 150 mg each dissolved in 60 ml of distilled water respectively, once only by intra uterine route, whereas in Group-II no treatment was advocated. Blood urea nitrogen levels showed noticeable significant changes which were comparatively higher in antibiotics treated Group-I as compared to untreated control (Group-II), whereas creatinine kinase and cholinesterase levels were not affected significantly which may be indicative of non infectious causative factors for repeat breeding cond...

The relative therapeutic efficacy of two antimicrobial drugs viz. Cephalexin and Ciprofloxacin+Tinidazole were evaluated. The conception rates in Cephalexin and Ciprofloxacin + Tinidazole treated and untreated control groups were 66.66, 83.33 and 16.66 percent respectively. The comparative efficacy confirmed the superiority of Ciprofloxacin and Tinidazole combination over Cephalexin.
