The purpose of this paper was to examine the effect of instructional supervision on teacher’s com... more The purpose of this paper was to examine the effect of instructional supervision on teacher’s competences in Public Primary School in Rwanda. More specifically this researcher paper analyzed the preparation of teaching and learning documents and assessment practices. In this study 6 head teachers and 148 primary teachers from three selected sectors of Kamonyi district was related as informants. For selecting the sample size, the researcher adopted the two techniques that were purposive and simple random sampling techniques. The researcher was managed to use questionnaire, interview guide plus observation protocols aimed at combining primary and secondary data. To analyze the quantitative and qualitative data descriptive statistics was used in terms of mean, while in terms of statistics correlation and regression the researcher was used standard deviation and inferential. Inclusive education activities towards competences of learners with learning difficulties in basic education schools of Rwanda, 2023
Inclusive Education is problematic in several countries including Rwanda and has been held back b... more Inclusive Education is problematic in several countries including Rwanda and has been held back by a number of factors including negative attitudes towards people with disabilities. School administrators and teachers have not sufficient skills so that they can manage inclusive schools and it requires several and regular training to be equipped with necessary knowledge and get sensitized on how to introduce inclusive practices. The study examined the contribution of strategies implemented in inclusive education for competences of learners with learning difficulties in Rwanda basic education schools. The sample of 148 respondents were selected including 6 School Managers, 3 Sector Education Inspectors, 69 teachers and 70 parents of learners with disabilities. The findings showed that there are strategies which contribute and influence the developments of competences of students with learning difficulties and disabilities in inclusive education such as iidentification of learners with special needs, assessment plan for learners with special needs, methods of teaching and learning adapted to individual needs for improving learners critical thing and problem solving, cores, class participation. The researcher provided recommendations and conclusions depending on the findings of the research.

Specifically, this research paper analyzed age, number of students, provision of the equal opportunity to all students with and without disabilities, minimization of the long journey done by students with disabilities and student with impairments. Examining the inclusive practices, the researcher would identify whether students with disabilities had facilities for an effective learning such as; the availability of braille machines to help students with visual impairments learning successfully, students with and without disability have access to smart classrooms for developing competences in basic education classrooms in Rwanda.
