Livestock industry is one of the major contributors to the country's GDP and provides one thi... more Livestock industry is one of the major contributors to the country's GDP and provides one third of the total available food in the country. Mineral deficiencies and imbalances in soils and forages can be a challenge in relation to production in grazing cattle in developing countries. A number of factors influence the availability of such minerals in terms of proper growth and development of cattle. The study was done in selected parts of Uasin Gishu and revealed severe nutritional deficiencies in soils and forages. The study also revealed a number of factors that influenced mineral concentration in the region. The study has suggested recommendations to help identify and alleviate any constraints on animal health and production. The advent of the Internet poses fundamental changes in social norms, politics and economics in s... more The advent of the Internet poses fundamental changes in social norms, politics and economics in society. The belief in cyber anarchy; "do not touch the Internet" mantra, has fundamentally altered the understanding of copyright laws amongst the present generation. Subsequently an aversion for property rights, as understood by well established copyright laws has, developed manifesting itself mainly through piracy. The evolution of technology in tandem with the Internet has further exacerbated the situation as a whole, generations that enjoy entertainment find it much easier to infringe on a litany of copyright laws. Taking into account the established norms of property or copyright protection, is it not clear, with growing copyright malcontents and malfeasance, that we are simply producing a global generation of copyright criminals. This discourse explores the veracity of this statement by taking into account the nature of the Internet, the emergence of digital copying and sharing, alongside the fluid perceptions of copyright protection.
