Gulbanks are among the most important works of Turkish oral tradition. Reciting gulbanks was a co... more Gulbanks are among the most important works of Turkish oral tradition. Reciting gulbanks was a common practice in military and Sufi culture. Gulbanks are recited almost in every ritual in relation with Mawlawi rules and conventions. While Mawlawi gulbanks have many things in common with the gulbanks of other Sufi traditions, they possess a unique quality in structure, content and function. Mawlawi gulbanks begin and end with routines. In every this gulbank there is always a reference to Hz. Ali, Shams Tabrizi and Mawlānā. The objective of this study is to analyze Mawlawi Gulbanks in terms of functionalist approach. In this study, all the gulbank texts and their variants belonging to Mawlawi tradition have been analyzed. Apart from basic Mawlawi rituals, gulbanks are also recited in other rituals such as transition periods, meals, and periods of spiritual retreats (çile).The basic function of a gulbank is to consecrate the present rituals. Besides, each gulbank recited during a different ritual has also a different meaning. Mawlawi rituals date back to old times and gulbanks reflect the spirit of these rituals. Hence, in gulbanks there is often a reference to a historical event or person. Apart from the historical factors, gulbanks have been influenced from the social and psychological factors of Mawlawi rules and conventions. Even though all gulbanks look similar to each other, when the contexts are taken into consideration, it can be clearly seen that each gulbank has a unique and authentic value. In this study, the source texts have been used and the context has been supported through the observations of Mawlawi ceremonies in Yenikapı Mawlawi Lodge.

Bosna-Hersek'in fethedilmesiyle birlikte kurulan Saraybosna, XVI. yuzyildan itibaren Osmanli-Turk kulturunun onemli bir kultur muhiti haline gelmistir. Islam medeniyeti ve Turk kulturunun maddi, sozlu ve yazili kultur unsurlari Saraybosna'nin kulturel dokusunu olusturmustur. Gecmisten gunumuze Saraybosna halki agirlikli olarak Bosnaklardan tesekkul etmistir. Halki Bosnak olan ve Slavca konusan bu Musluman topluluk, Osmanli doneminde Turkceyi yazi dili olarak kullanmistir. XVIII. ve XIX. yuzyilin baslarinda Saraybosna'da yasayan Molla Mustafa Baseski Bosnak olmasina ragmen eserini Turkce yazmistir. Molla Mustafa Baseski, 1756-1804 yillari arasinda Saraybosna'da yasanan olaylari konu edindigi bir Ruz-name kaleme almistir. Calismada, saha arastirmasi(derleme) ve anket tekniginden yararlanilmistir. Bildiride, Bosna-Hersek’teki etnik unsurlara genel olarak deginilmekle birlikte; nufus yogunlugu acisindan Bosna-Hersek’te ana kitleye sahip Bosnaklar ve Bosnak kulturu ile Turk kulturu acisindan kulturel iliskilerin gelismesi degerlerdirilmistir. Calismanin sonucunda, Turkiye- Bosna Hersek iliskilerinin gelismesinde kulturel unsurlardan daha kapsamli bir sekilde yararlanilmasi gerektigi kanaatine varilmis ve bununla ilgili cesitli tekliflerde bulunulmustur.

Turk dunyasinin genelinde cesitli isimler altinda gorulen mâniler ozellikle Anadolu, Balkanlar, Kafkas ve Ortadogu’da yasayan Turk topluluklari arasinda daha canlidir. Anonimlik-anonim olma, mânilerin temel ozelliklerden birisidir. Bununla birlikte, âsiklik geleneginde ve yeni Turk edebiyatinda mâni seklinde siirlere rastlanmaktadir. Dini-tasavvufi halk edebiyati (tekke) sairlerinin de mânileri bulunmaktadir. Bircok tekke sairinin, âsiklik gelenegi ve anonim kulturden etkilenerek mâni yazdiklari gorulmektedir. Bu calismanin amaci, tekke sairlerine ait mânileri muhteva ve sekil acisindan ele almaktir. Bu calismada; dini-tasavvufi halk edebiyati sairlerinin mânileri, âsik ve anonim Turk halk edebiyati ornekleriyle benzerlik ve farkliliklari acisindan karsilastirilmistir. Tekke sairlerinin soyledigi-yazdigi mânilerin sekil acisindan duz mâninin aaba kalibi ve yedili hece olcusune uygun oldugu gorulmektedir. Bu mâniler, cinasli olmakla birlikte kesik ozelligi gostermemekte ve bes misradan olusmamaktadir. Calismaminiz konusu olan mânilerde; ilahi ask, dort kapi kirk makam, gonulsuz olma, melamet gibi tasavvufi konular islenmistir. Bunun yaninda, anonim mânilerde oldugu gibi tamamen gunluk-sosyal konular ilgili ogut icerikli mâniler de tespit edilmistir.

This paper discusses the effect of Turkish Culture, which enhanced its existence in Bosnia-Herzeg... more This paper discusses the effect of Turkish Culture, which enhanced its existence in Bosnia-Herzegovina during the historical period, on Bosnian Culture by providing examples from the food culture. The purpose of this paper is to discover Turkish food that continues to exist in Bosnia-Herzegovina till today. Paper, being a folkloristic study, made use of dictionary resources apart from the written resources. Paper was examined with the functional method which is one of the methods of Folklore. At the end of study, it is seen that dishes, soups and desserts kind belonging to the Turkish culinary culture continues to function even today.

The actual impact of the Turkish language and culture began with the start of Ottoman conquests. With the Ottoman conquest, there have been great changes on the structure of the Balkan communities. As a result of this comprehensive and large impact, thousands of Turkish words entered into the Balkanic Languages. The quantity of Turkish words, their effect of the Balkanic Cultures and Languages have directed the researchers to search these words. The researchers who investigated the Turkish words in the Balkanic Languages faced a fundamental problem. The main problem that the researchers faced was the issue of designation of these words in question. Due to the appearance of the words of Arabic and Persian origin along with Turkish, some researchers have applied the term-Orientalism‖ for these words in question. Since the vast majority of words in the Balkanic Languages are Turkish, the researchers, considering the fact that Arabic and Persian words entered into the Balkanic Languages through Turkish, have preferred the concept-Turkism‖ for these words. Researchers, without making a detailed evaluation on either-Orientalism‖ or-Turkism,‖ have stated their more general preferences. However, the designation issue of these words, which have such effect on the Balkanic Languages and their numbers getting closer to ten thousand in some languages, requires a detailed analysis in order to formulate an opinion. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the words in question in terms of grammatical, cultural and historical process and to contribute to the issue of designating through Ottoman institutions and community life. Within the scope of this study, the emphasis is given, in addition to all the Balkanic Languages, on the Bosnian-Serbian-Croatian and Albanian Languages where Turkish words are dominantly present.

Turk-Bosnak topluluklarinin etkilesimi sonucunda Bosna-Hersek’te kitleler halinde Islamlasma gerceklesmistir. Islamiyet’in kabuluyle birlikte Bosnaklar, Turk kulturu ve Islam medeniyetinin havzasina girmislerdir. Bunun bir sonucu olarak Osmanli Turkcesi ve dini-tasavvufi gelenekler, Bosna-Hersek cografyasinda gorulmeye baslanmis ve Osmanli toplum hayati, Bosnak kulturunde derin etkiler birakmistir. Bosnak Anonim Halk Edebiyati’nin onemli bir turu olan sevdalinkalarda, bu tesir acikca gorulmektedir. Şekil acisindan bazi yonleriyle, turku ve manilere benzeyen sevdalinkalarda kisaca bir ask oykusu anlatilmaktadir. Bir makam esliginde ve genellikle bir enstrumanla soylenen sevdalinkalar, Balkan cografyasinda Bosnaklara has bir turdur.
