Methods: For his purpose, it was evaluated the eating attitude and behaviors in two different faculties of the same university (n=450). A cross-sectional random sampling method with the questionnaire was performed including demographic information, the Eating Attitudes Test and the Rosenberg Self-Esteem Test was administered. Results: As a result of statistical analysis a statistically significant difference of the eating attitude test scores with age, weight and average height. It didn't show significant difference between the mean scores of BMI values and mean scores of self-esteem levels. The students were grouped according to cutoff scores of the Eating Attitudes Test (EAT-40) and detected the statistical significant differences between the means of Rosenberg Self-Esteem Test subgroups scores (the self-esteem levels, relying on other people, interpersonal relationships to threats, participate in discussions and psychic isolation). Conclusion: Consequently, the significant relationship was not observed among students studying in different department of education who have eating disorders about their self-esteem risk. Students which studying in health-related department were more sensitivity than other group in the evaluation of eating attitudes and behaviors.

The number of studies showing the effect of nutrition on fibrosis accompanying MAFLD are insufficient. This study was planned with the aim of investigating the effect of nutritional treatment on liver injury. METHODS This research is a prospective, non-medication interventional study completed with 39 participants chosen from MAFLD patients with fibrosis. Post treatment lasting three months, patients had liver stiffness measurements (LSM), anthropometric measurements and biochemical tests repeated. RESULTS In pre- and post-treatment, there were statistically significant correlations found between LSM with serum gamma glutamyl transferase (GGT) values, and between controlled attenuation parameter (CAP) with body mass index (BMI) and fat mass (p<0.05). Post-treatment, statistically significant improvements were determined in the anthropometric measurements and biochemical findings. Moreover, post-treatment LSM and CAP values showed significant positive correlation compared to pre-treatment (p<0.05). CONCLUSIONS This study found dietary interventions have an important place within the scope of fibrosis treatment. Preparation and application of medical nutrition treatment suitable for the clinical features of patients and completing correct lifestyle changes has an ameliorating effect on disease prognosis. There is a need for advanced studies with larger sample groups to further enlighten this topic.

Material and Method: This cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted in November 2017-June 2018. Diabetic individuals were reached through hospitals and social networks. The study was conducted with 105 (64 female, 41 male) individuals with type 1 DM living in Istanbul. A questionnaire about sociodemographic characteristics, biochemical parameters, medical treatment, food label reading status, food label reading reasons were applied in the study. Data were analyzed using SPSS V 16.0 program. Results: 85.7% of the participants read the food label. No significant difference was found when age group and nutritional label reading status were examined (p > 0.05). Besides, information was given to 67.6% of the participants about reading the nutritional label. A significant association was found between nutritional label reading knowledge and carbohydrate counting application and stages (P=0.0001). However, there was no significant difference between biochemical parameters and reading label status (p>0.05). Conclusions: Nutritional label reading should be mentioned more in the medical nutrition therapy and diabetes education.

In 2014 the 10 most common male cancer in Turkey ranking of prostate cancer into second place after lung cancer, it is in second place in the ranking of all age groups. In this review, it is aimed to explain the effect of cow milk consumption on the course of disease and the effect of cancer cell development. In addition, the relationship between the incidence of prostate cancer and the mortality rate were questioned. Potentially thought to be related to milk-prostate cancer, calcium, insulin-like growth factor (IGF), milk-induced miRNAs that weaken the DNA methyltransferase 1 (DNMT1) signal, and increased mTORC1 signaling with high cow milk consumption have been described. Recent results suggest that milk consumption in childhood is not associated with prostate cancer risk, and that milk consumption in adulthood may have a biological basis. According to the World Cancer Research Fund (WCRF), evidence on milk and dairy products has been reported as limited-thought-provoking and emphasized that milk and dairy products cause an increased risk of prostate cancer. Removal of miRNAs from cow's milk from the human food chain, restriction of cow's milk intake during mTORC1-dependent phases of prostate development and differentiation, and dietary interventions in the direction of attenuating mTORC1 signals can be applied as prophylaxis of prostate cancer prevention.

İn this study, 48% of the students were men. They were asked to complete a questionnaire on their dietary habits including the frequency of their consumption of individual food items, demographic data, and smoking habit. The effects of eating habits on increased BMI (≥25) were analyzed. Of 2259 subjects included in the analyses, 322 were overweight or obese and 1937 had normal and thin BMI (&amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;lt;25). Multivariate analyses identified male gender, recent weight change, and high number of meals as independent predictors of obesity/overweight. Frequent consumptions of beer, alcoholic drinks other than beer and wine (e.g., spirits including whisky, gin, raki, vodka), coffee, tea, coke, red meat, variety meat, and eggs were associated with a significantly higher risk of obesity/overweight, whereas frequent consumption of snacks was associated with a low risk. Findings of further studies, possibly taking into consideration the absolute quantities of consumption along with cultural and local issues, would guide the adoption of healthier feeding behaviors in this particular age group.
