The Job-shop scheduling considered the most significant industrial activities, mostly in manufacturing. The JSSP (Job Shop Scheduling Problems) is typical NP-hard problem. To solve this problem, we have used the linear programming approach. Real data have been taken from the company of the metalworking industry. The model has been created, then it was analyzed using Spreadsheet-Excel Solver. The appropriate sequence has been obtained and the results shown that it is possible to achieve the minimum completion time compared to other sequence combination

Lean is a method which is focused on reducing waste, it is used by manufacturing industries to reduce waste and in the meantime, the quality is higher. Application of lean manufacturing into enterprises may bring many benefits and advantages such as time reduction to the customers, less utilization of inventory, efficient usage of processes, cost savings, improvement of knowledge management and rework reduction.. This paper has attempted to understand how lean manufacturing is being used in the Kosovo Manufacturing Industry, and benefits implementation of lean manufacturing techniques and their facilities.

This paper reports the results and conclusions drawn from a questionnaire survey concerning the use and implementation of computer-aided design (CAD) in the Kosovo furniture industry. It was regarded as important to find out what impacts implementation has on the usage of CAD and whether companies in the furniture industry think the use of CAD could improve their product development. Less than half of all product-developing companies in the Kosovo furniture industry are using CAD today. The study found that the following factors are involved in successful implementation: management support, realistic budgeting, selection of system and effective, company-specific training. Most CAD users are satisfied with their system and think that it fulfills their needs. Many of the difficulties referred to by respondents can be related to the implementation phase, and they could be avoided. In general, the furniture industry considers that CAD improves their product development work.

Thus, this study is carried out to present the importance of CAD/CAE system on process of design and process of optimization of spur gear. The paper presents the usage of CAD system for modeling parts and CAE software for analysis of stress-strain of spur gear and the results of calculation of pair spur-gears that it used in the gearbox transmission of the bucket wheel excavator located in "Bardhi i Madh-Fushë Kosovë", and after that will be optimized the shape of the spur gear with usage of ANSYS software. Consequently, the aim of this research is to calculate stress-strain structure of parts (gears) and reduce weigh of the gears.

As a result of this development, many companies and factories started to look for new forms of organizational structure and the implementation of new technologies in their manufacturing process. In this context, the CAD/CAM/CAE systems play a crucial role in the process of manufacturing and generally in the transition to digital manufacturing, as the basis of a new industrial revolution. This paper presents the application of new technologies in a product life-cycle, namely the application of an advanced CAD/CAM/CAE system to support the organizational lean manufacturing initiative of SMMEs in Kosovo as a means to achieve world-class performance. Two case studies have been completed, one on the advantages of applying the CAD/CAM system in product development and the second by applying traditional manufacturing. A further aim of this present paper is to bring initiatives to the collaborative environment and to bridge the gap between industry and educational institutions.

Digitalization of factory has impact the entire business environment and lead to Smart Enterprises. To create a model of Smart Factory, first we have analyzed the existing situation of Kosovo Manufacturing Industry with regard to revolution of Industry. In this paper we will describe the results of a recent research at the Kosovo manufacturing companies and are included metalworking and furniture industry, where is developed a Maturity Level for Kosovo Industry. To describe the Maturity Level of Kosovo Industry we have delivered questionnaire and have been done interviews with CEOs (Chief Executive Officer). The average score of Industrial Maturity Level for Kosovo Industry is 2.14 which represent 2nd Industrial Revolution, but some of enterprises belong to 3rd Industrial Revolution. Also, the main barriers of this low level of Maturity Level of Kosovo Industry are highlights based on questionnaire and interviews with CEOs, such as: lack of training programs, language barriers, high cost of purchasing/maintenance of technology, unskilled workers, and est.

However, very little has been reported about the implementation and selection of lean manufacturing in the Kosovo manufacturing industry. This article presents the application of lean tools through Kosovo manufacturing industries and the selection of the most useful lean techniques for developing a model for an innovative smart Kosovo enterprise which is our initiative in the process of preparing Kosovo enterprises for the new age of industry-Industry 4.0. After several visits through Kosovo enterprises, the literature review has noticed that there is no investigation in the selection and implementation of lean techniques and tools in Kosovo enterprises. The purpose was to understand how Kosovo manufacturing enterprises use lean techniques and which are the most useful techniques. Analyses have been done based on interviews and questionnaires. Seven basic lean techniques are selected based on the response from the questionnaire and representing basic lean tools for developing a model of a production system regarding Industry 4.0.

In a post-war country like Kosovo it may be more evident in the experience of stress and depression. Aims:The investigation of levels of stress and depression in adolescence. Objectives:The examination of relationships between stress, depression and several socio-demographic factors such as age, place of residence, gender and academic success in adolescents. Method: It is a quantitative correlational study which measures the level of stress and depression among adolescents. The measures included the Scale of stressful life events for children (stress-D) and the CDI Scale (Children's Depression Inventory). The purposeful sample was selected of 246 students of secondary schools of Malisheva (Kosovo). 49.2% males / 50.8% females, aged 15-20 years. Data processing with SPSS 17.0 and MicrosoftExcel2007. Results: 18% of adolescents did not have depression, 79% low-level , 2% average and 1% high level of depression. 62% had high levels of stress, 25% medium and 10% low levels; 3% reported no stress. The level of stress is significantly positively correlated with gender (girls +; r=.14, p<.05) , and success in school (better success +; r=.24,p<.01), and significantly negative correlated with residence (village +; r=-.15, p<.05 and age (the youngest +;r=-.18,p<.01). Level of depression was significantly negatively correlated with residence (village +; r=-.13, p=.05). There is no significant correlation between levels of stress and depression. Conclusions: Adolescents are experiencing high levels of stress. Young females living in rural regions, who are also more academically successful are also more vulnerable to stress and require more attention from psychological services.
