In this paper we propose an enhanced method with an acceptable level of accuracy for face recogni... more In this paper we propose an enhanced method with an acceptable level of accuracy for face recognition with an incremental approach in invariant conditions like illumination, pose, expressions and occlusions. The proposed method hold the class-separation criterion for maximizing the input samples as well as the asymmetrical characteristics for training data distributions. This enhanced approach helps the learning model to get adjusted the weak features inline with enhanced or boosted feature classifier for online samples. This enhanced model also helps in calculating feature loses during the training process of offline samples. For representing the illumination invariant face features local binary pattern (LBP) are extracted from the input samples and IFLDA is used for representation and classification. This modified algorithm with incremental approach gives the acceptable results by detecting and recognizing the faces in extreme illuminations varying conditions.

Surface metrology with image processing is a challenging task having wide application in the indu... more Surface metrology with image processing is a challenging task having wide application in the industry. Analysis of surface finish can be done using image processing. The proposed system aims at identifying three classes of surface finish images, viz. Casting, Milling and shaping. The system proposes an effective combination of features for analysis of the engineering surfaces. The prototype system developed for classification of surface finish images using Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT) and Fuzzy Logic classifier. The feature extracted using DWT are Standard Deviation and Mean. The system out performs the earlier methods and gives 92.78 % of average success rate for only 72 number of features. The system is also analysed by different wavelet filters for maximum success rate and minimum success rate comparison.

As a result, the heavy traffic often leads to more and more traffic accidents. In common traffic accident, the driver’s inattention is usually a main reason. To avoid this situation, this paper proposes a sleepy eye's recognition system for drowsiness detection. First, a cascaded Adaboost classifier with the Haar-like features is utilized to find out the face region. Second, the eyes region is located by Active Shape Models (ASM) search algorithm. Then the binary pattern and edge detection are adopted to extract the eyes feature and determine the eye’s state. Experimental results demonstrate the comparative performance, even without the training stage, with other methods
