Our purpose is to provide knowledge about Corporate Identity, often mistaken with other related concepts. The paper is based on literature reviews, establishing an analysis of developments on this specific topic over time. It highlights and discusses important points previously reported in the literature. The novelty of this type of paper consists in the relation established between different views and by its conclusions concerning to definitions. The brand is positioned as cultural interface between the business and the stakeholders. The results of this paper are to make a clear distinction between Corporate Identity, Corporate Visual Identity, Brand and Corporate Image. It also establishes a connection between culture, values, mission and Corporate Identity, explaining how these concepts are in the geneses of the brand personality.

Identity promotes sustainability and respect for people’s quality of life. The methodology used is mixed, including a non-interventionist phase consisting in the study of competing brands, audience map and persona method and an interventionist component through project-grounded design research, which includes participatory methods such as co-design and Design thinking. The results are a visual identity of the mountain olive oils brand that acts simultaneously as an interface of representation of the collective, the individual and the region (internal audiences), fulfilling the expectations and needs of the target public and other stakeholders. Design principles and good practices are also defined to ensure that visual identity continues to function as a cultural interface of the territory in a sustainable logic and not just business requirements.

This study contributes to a broader understanding of the systems of signs and the interrelation of its components. It seems crucial to this research, which aims at obtaining a detailed study of signs systems for public information, a careful analysis of all aspects related to three areas: The sign and its meaning; The system or how signs are organized; The Culture or users to whom the signs are developed.

Semen was extended in Androhep and divided into four treatments supplemented with CLA (25, 50, 100 and 200 μm) and control group, then kept for 2 h at 22°C. Afterwards an aliquot of each treatment was removed, and mitochondrial activity, viability, lipid membrane peroxidation (LPO) and stability of the sperm plasma membrane were assessed by flow cytometry. The remaining extended semen was maintained at 17°C until 336 h, repeating the same analysis every 48 h. Regarding percentage of live spermatozoa, no statistical differences were observed among treatments up to 96 h. After this time, viability decreased significantly (p < 0.05) for CLA concentrations of 100 and 200 μm. Despite these results, there was an individual response to CLA. Although in the control group, the boar A presented better results when compared ...

In vitro oocyte and embryo development was assessed by blastocyst rates, embryo total cell numbers and apoptosis. Blood samples for the determination of PUN were collected 24 h prior to collection of the ovaries at the slaughter. A total of 112 ovaries were collected at a local abattoir and oocytes (n = 697) were aspirated, in vitro matured and fertilized. On day 8, blastocysts were assigned to the terminal dUTP nick end labelling assay. Cleavage rates were significantly higher (p < 0.001) for groups 1 and 2 than for group 3 (i.e. 72.5% and 72.2% vs 61.7...
