This article will cover a study of foreign immigrants in Brazil , through the National System dat... more This article will cover a study of foreign immigrants in Brazil , through the National System database Register and Alien Registration SINCRE the Federal Police from 2000 to 2015. This information is extremely important, because in it gives a dimension of how this population group is distributed in the country and especially what are the input and municipalities of residence of these foreigners. The focus of this work destined to a discussion of migration , particularly of Africans who have established residence in Brazil , from Senegal , Ghana , Democratic Republic of Congo and Republic of Congo. The data discussed are related ace SINCRE information from the Federal Police. These contain an information bank with 810,071 records.

Identificamos alguns desafios ou obstaculos que os imigrantes enfrentam como: acolhimento, idioma, preconceito e xenofobia. Destaca-se ainda o papel da sociedade civil, das ONGs e da Igreja Catolica no processo de insercao social, acolhendo, ministrando curso de portugues, encaminhando e acompanhando os imigrantes no mercado de trabalho.

Brazilian government started granting visas under a humanitarian purpose. However, the
granting of visas, which allows Haitians to work and live in Brazil, has not been followed
by policies of insertion and acculturation, which has reinforced both exclusion and
isolation, as well as posed obstacles to language acquisition, social and income growth.
