The condition of water in Tiruchirappalli was measured using different Physicochemical parameters like Temperature, pH, TDS, Total Solids, Salinity, Total Hardness, and Electrical Conductivity. Water samples were collected from different places in Tiruchirappalli city, Tamil Nadu. Water samples were examined by different chemical methods. According to the results, Thiruvarambur-1 showed comparatively higher results in the case of every parameter compared to other sampling stations. Obtained results were further interpreted using statistical tools. Considering ECs as a principal component for the regression and correlation analysis with other parameters significant correlation was found. A strong correlation was observed between ECs and TDS, Total Hardness, Turbidity, and Salinity.

According to WHO air quality model (2016), about 92 % of world's population lives in places where air quality level exceeds the limits. When we breathe in dirty air or air pollutants deep into our lungs, it can cause new cases of a respiratory illness like Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), asthma and respiratory allergy. The aim of the study is to assess the impacts of air pollution in health and also the awareness level among the general population of Tiruchirappalli City Corporation. Totally 500 participants were included in the ten locations of the study area using simple random sampling method which was based on commercial zone, traffic zone and residential zone. The sample was taken from the road siders, vendors, drivers and households between the month of December 2019 and March 2021. The data were collected and it was analysed using SPSS 16.0 Version software. 61.6% participants have known about the importance of clean air, and 50.2% respondents have read frequently about air pollution. 75.6% respondents believed that the impact of air pollution was "high" and 66.1% responded that the impact of health due to air pollution is also " high". Based on the survey, the people have knowledge about air pollution and its health. During the interview, the public perception, traffic and more vehicles were main reasons for pollution and it creates health effects like chronic cough, asthma, eye irritation and skin problems.

Air pollutants ultimately deteriorate the health condition of living beings. The major air pollutants like Nitrous Oxides (NOx), Sulphur dioxide (SO 2), Particulate Matter (PM 10) especially Particulate Matter (PM) can be considered as invisible carriers. Secondary data were collected and those data demonstrate the fifteen years annual average concentration of SO 2 , NOx, and Particulate Matter (PM 10) in five major locations of the city. The value of RSPM only exceeds the permissible limit of NAAQ. The results show the locations Gandhi market, Central bus stand and Main guard gate are considered highly polluted area and other Golden Rock and Bishop Heber are less polluted areas. Dirty air or air pollutants enter deep into our lungs, can cause respiratory illness like Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), asthma and respiratory allergy. This paper is to assess the air quality status of the city and its health impact. Therefore, it is observed that these areas are classified as vulnerable to respiratory diseases.

The main causes of global warming are emission of CO2 and other Green House Gases (GHG), and it is due to anthropogenic activities. To reduce the impact, sequestrating CO2 through photosynthetic process is more effective. This process known as phytoremediation has been used to clean up greenhouse gases, heavy metals, pesticides, xenobiotics, organic compounds, and toxic aromatic pollutants. It is a cost-effective technique to mitigate global warming. Plants capture atmospheric CO2 and convert it into organic compounds. The CO2 sequestration of plants through the leaf and extensive root systems is useful for reduction of CO2 by the potential assimilating capacity plants. Different plant species have different capacity of carbon sequestration potential. Plants that are identified and grown in and around t...
