After heart disease and cancer, it is the most common cause of death across all age categories. For a variety of causes, people are routinely exposed to traumatic vertebral, thoracic pathologies and rib fractures. Ribs can be harmed by simple falls, impacts, and blunt injuries as well as broken due to car accidents and falling from a height. Magnetic resonance imaging or computed tomography are used to diagnose these fractures. In this study, non-linear complex methods were used to categorize gender and age by utilizing thoracic pathologies, fractures or cracks in the body as a result of traffic accidents or falling from a height, which have the feature of being a case in forensic issues. The most important data in the classification of gender and age were determined by Multivariate Adaptive Regression Spline (MARS) method. Although autopsy should be utilized in these situations, complex regres...

It is to investigate whether it will exacerbate it. Material and Methods: 46 PCOS patients and 46 PCOS patients diagnosed with HT were included in this study. A detailed medical history was taken from all participants. Polycystic ovary image was evaluated as below or above 10 ml and antral follicles were counted by transvaginal ultrasound. Insulin resistance of the patients was evaluated according to the fasting insulin (HOMA) index. Results: Insulin resistance was found to be associated with fasting insulin, HOMA index, body mass index and right ovarian volume in patients diagnosed with PCOS. Among the patients diagnosed with PCOS+HT, insulin resistance was found to be signi cantly correlated with fasting insulin, HOMA index, (BMI), (SHBG) and left ovarian volume. An increase in right ovarian volume was found in 37.5% of patients with PCOS without insulin resistance and in 76.3% of patients with insulin resistance. An increase in left ovarian volume was found in 35.7% of patients without insulin resistance diagnosed with PCOS+HT and in 68.8% of patients with insulin resistance. Conclusions: This study shows that in order to predict insulin resistance that causes long-term metabolic diseases, ovarian volume should be evaluated in every PCOS patient and all PCOS patients with increased ovarian volume should be investigated for insulin resistance. In addition, it has been observed that insulin resistance affects left ovarian volume in patients with PCOS+HT, while insulin resistance affects the volume of the right ovary more in patients with PCOS. At least one ovary has been found to be affected by long-term metabolic diseases.

The clusters that can be obtained as a result of cluster analysis are expected to be as similar within themselves and as different among themselves. Clustering analysis is a method used in almost all scientific fields. It is a method that is used more extensively in science fields such as Medicine, Biology, Psychology, Sociology, Archeology where uncertainty conditions and complex formations exist. In this study, using 19 variables related to occupational accidents and diseases, provincial groups showing the same structures in 81 provinces were tried to be determined. Using the 2019 data published by the Social Security Institution (SSI), 81 provinces are divided into clusters according to occupational accidents and diseases. As a result of the analysis, the provinces with the best and worst conditions in terms of occupational accidents and diseases were revealed. It is aimed to clearly demonstrate the necessity of examining the source of the risk by determining the provinces with high risk in terms of work accidents and occupational diseases.

The number of older adults in the world is expanding rapidly as a consequence of increased qualit... more The number of older adults in the world is expanding rapidly as a consequence of increased quality of life and technological advances. 1,2 This demographic transition is increasing the prevalence of chronic-degenerative diseases. One of the consequences is higher consumption of medicines, which implies a great challenge for the healthcare system. 3 Given that use of several drugs is needed to treat the multimorbidity commonly seen in older adults, it can be expected that the prevalence of polypharmacy among older adults and the risk of drug interactions will increase substantially. 4 Drug interactions are a common cause of adverse drug reactions among older adults, and these include arrhythmias, acute kidney injury and increased risk of falls. 5-7 A direct correlation between the number of medications and their interactions and the risk of adverse drug reactions has been shown. 4-7 The reasons for this are multifactorial and particularly include age-related changes in the pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics of drugs, reduced renal function and lower hepatic clearance. 6-8 At hospital discharge, older adults generally present changes to their drug therapy, with higher numbers of prescribed medications, which leads to higher frequency of drug interactions. 8 Thus, it is essential to know the frequency of these interactions at hospital discharge among older people and their determinants, in order to promote safer use of drugs among older adults.

Due to the fact that the concept of happiness is constantly being updated in world, this study was obtained using data from the World Happiness Report (WHR) 2020 and the WHR 2021. By taking the life ladder dependent variable stated in the report, the variables related to the occurrence of happiness were analyzed using regression analysis of 8 variables. The world as it is known is grappling with the Coronavirus disease (Covid-19) pandemic. For all countries, it is inevitable that the restrictions, negativities or impossibilities brought by Covid-19 affect their unhappiness. For this reason, the years 2019 and 2020 were evaluated separately and we evaluated the factors affecting the life ladder of countries with regression analysis within the framework of Covid-19. As a result, it has been determined that the factors that make people happy, according to WHR, vary after the Covid-19 pandemic. The positive effect variable in the model in 2019 was separated from the model in 2020 and replaced by the variable of freedom to make life choices. ML estimators are computed by using the Newton Raphson method. Bayesian estimations under Squared, Linex and General Entropy loss functions by using Jeffrey’s extension prior are introduced with Tierney Kadane approximation for Weibull distribution. For different sample sizes, estimators are compared to obtain the best estimator in terms of mean squared errors using a Monte Carlo simulation study.
