The summarized articles consist of scholarly papers, conference proceedings, and white papers. They were collected from ABI (Proquest), EBSCOHost, Scopus, ScienceDirect and Google scholar databases. They represent articles published between 2000 and 2020. Over 3000 articles were checked, but 300 of them were selected for second reading and summarization. Meanwhile, 128 articles found useful and relevant for VoD. These relevant articles were summarized based on these criteria: definition of VoD, perspective of VoD, causes of VoD, proposed solutions for VoD, context and industry. Furthermore, a list of VoD diagrams are presented in the data. There are 33 figures copied from the summarized articles. These figures show how VoD looks like across different schools of thought on VoD. The data also contains a reference list of summarized articles.
