Metastatic adenocarcinoma of unknown primary origin was incidentally detected in the skeletal mus... more Metastatic adenocarcinoma of unknown primary origin was incidentally detected in the skeletal muscles of a male sheep slaughtered for meat consumption. The tumour grossly appeared as multiple spherical whitish nodules embedded within the longissimus dorsi and psoas muscles of the internal abdominal wall. Microscopic examination of the nodules revealed scattered lobular masses of glandular structures trapped in-between the skeletal muscle fibres. The lobular masses were composed of neoplastic proliferations of epithelial cells arranged in the form of distinct acini separated by fibrous connective tissue stroma. The acinar cells were mostly cuboidal or short columnar in shape with foamy cytoplasm and hyperchromatic nuclei. Gli structores , talora richiamati nella documentazione epigrafica, coordinano le maestranze e le... more Gli structores , talora richiamati nella documentazione epigrafica, coordinano le maestranze e le forniture di materiali e di servizi necessari alla realizzazione del progetto edilizio di un architectus , in particolare per quelle strutture monumentali destinate all’ ornatus civitatis , ma anche ad una precisa funzionalita nell’ambito delle direttrici urbanologiche della citta romana. Si vuole proporre in questa sede un’analisi ricostruttiva dei cantieri edilizi, con il relativo personale tecnico, attivati rispettivamente in funzione della costruzione e dell’ampliamento del secondo edificio per gli spettacoli della Sardinia , per le sue dimensioni, l’anfiteatro di Forum Traiani , fatto oggetto di scavo archeologico fra i mesi di febbraio e settembre 2008, a cura della Soprintendenza archeologica della Sardegna in collaborazione con l’Universita degli Studi di Sassari, il Comune di Fordongianus e la Casa Circondariale di Oristano.

One hundred samples of ten poultry meat products were collected from AL-Ahsa markets (King Saudi ... more One hundred samples of ten poultry meat products were collected from AL-Ahsa markets (King Saudi Arabia). The samples were ranked from carcass cuts "filet and thigh" to minced meat or further processed products as burger, nuggets, frankfurter and meat paste loaf. Samples were collected in triplicate for sensory, chemical and microbiological analysis to assure their quality and safety. The obtained results revealed variation in chemical composition; some products with high fat % have an increased thiobarbituic acid value, which results in their unacceptability due to the appearance of abnormal flavor. Bacteriological analysis revealed that the mean total bacterial count was ranged form 2.7X10 4 /g for nuggets 1 to 3.3X10 7 /g for burger 2 and the other products in the range of 10 5 to 10 6 /gm, while S. aureus mean count ranged from less than 10 2 /gm for all samples , accept 10 4 /g and 10 6 /g for mince 2 and frankfurter samples respectively. E. Coli isolated form 70% of the samples and salmonella arizona was isolated at once form thigh samples. Thirty % of samples not comply with Saudi Standards due to sensory unacceptability and 20% of samples nonconforming with bacteriological specifications.
