Unlike many studies in agroforestry adoption which primarily deals with farming technologies and socioeconomic analysis, this study was conducted to analyse the factors of adoption of agroforestry as a sustainable land use practice among upland farmers in exchange for an incentive economic modelling. A total of 294 upland farmers were randomly chosen as respondents to participate in the survey using a contingent valuation method with WTA approach. As a result, 77.21% of the farmers were willing to accept the incentive in the said program to shift from their current land use practice to agroforestry. farm income, age, and bid amount appea farmers are compensated very well for their service provided to downstream communities. Further, we conducted cost benefit analysis to determine the economic cost of participatin economic trade-offs among upland farmers. Since farming is the bread and butter of this upland communities policy makers need to consider the economic and socio Often, incentive programs from government are lesser compared to the income that farmers would receive from their farming activity. As such, determining the amount to be given is very important because this would add to the the program. While it is true that poverty in general and farmer's income (in particular) is not adequate in explaining land use change, market incentives (e.g. compensation to shift to sustainable land use practice) would enable payment for ecosystem services (PES) scheme to be successful. Unlike other agroforestry studies, we argue that the land use practice (e.g. shifting cultivation) should be considered in policy making for incentivizing farmers because aside from income, traditionally and culturally, in Philippines and other developing countries shifting cultivation has been the practice. As such, shifting cultivators needs to have alternative sustainable land use technology (e.g. agroforestry) with proper financing mechanism to properly implement and sustain the program.

Independent sample t-test shows that the two groups’ have no significant differences on awareness on Calbayog Pan-as Hayiban Protected Landscape (CPHPL), WTP, Bid Amount, and Income which theoretically would affect its perception on WTP. Meanwhile, Bid Amount and its Awareness on CPHPL showed to be a significant predictor of households and commercial water users WTP. However, it is unlikely that PES would be successful in the area since only 46.6% are willing to pay out of 445 respondents both household and commercial water users. Graduate students perceived themselves as "competent" in the indicators of research competence. Furthermore, no significant relationship was found between Graduate students' profile and their research competence. It was also revealed that the inadequacy of training and seminar, lack of technical assistance, difficulty in identifying the researchable issues and constructing research titles, too many teaching loads/assignments, and lack of enough time to carry out research in the school were the problems encountered. Thus, it is suggested that the Graduate students must undergo enhancement training for improved research competence.

The study's objective is to determine the impact and satisfaction level of women's fishpond cooperative among its members. It randomly chose 36 cooperative members from Rosario, Northern Samar, Philippines. An adopted and modified questionnaire was utilized as a data-gathering tool for the respondents' socio-demographic profile, impact, and satisfaction level. The researchers employed a descriptive research design in the conduct of the study. Both descriptive and inferential statistics were used to treat the data with the aid of statistical software. The study's findings conclude that women's fishpond cooperative contributed considerably to their socioeconomic condition. However, the members have encountered constraints and challenges in their cooperative activities, such as mismanagement, lack of capital and logistics support, and technical know-how on aquaculture production.

With this, all countries have shifted their educational setup to online learning modalities due to this pandemic. This study assessed the level of mental and technical readiness in the online learning modality of freshmen nursing students in one of the catholic private institutions in the Philippines. Results revealed that most of the respondents were female, graduated from the STEM strand, and belong to poor families. It further disclosed that for the mental dimension, the students were ready, and for the technical dimension, they were only somewhat ready. The objective of this study was to investigate the prevalence of musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) and their risk factors among public school teachers in the Philippines. It involved 200 public school teachers in the secondary level from Calbayog City division, Samar Province, Philippines, and used an English version of the Korean Occupational Safety and Health Agency's questionnaire on MSDs for an analysis of musculoskeletal symptoms. The researchers employed frequency and percentages computations to determine the prevalence of MSDs in the respondents. Chi-square test and logistic regression were utilized to compute the correlation among socio-demographic profiles, teaching variables and MSDs. The reported overall prevalence of musculoskeletal pain was 74.5%, with legs (56.5%) and lower back (56%) having the highest prevalence. Significant differences in the prevalence of MSDs were found between age-groups (P = 0.032) and salary-groups (P = 0.045). Musculoskeletal disorders were prevalent among secondary public school teachers in the Philippines, suggesting that school administrators, curriculum and policy makers, and other stakeholders should improve the working conditions of teachers.
