The rise in energy consumption by commercial buildings is increasing at a rate of 8-10% every year in India. Generally, load curve monitoring is a method which is used to determine the electricity consumption of various electrical appliances which are present in the college building. The load consumption of various appliances based on their composite loads is measured at the electric meters in the college building. These electric energy meters can provide the information like the type of load, appliances working condition, appliances energy consumption details to the consumer and the state electric board. This information is used to plan the load strategy in the college for various blocks for optimal utilization the grid which is inter connected with solar power. So, load curve monitoring is generally classified into 2 types. Intrusive and non-Intrusive load monitoring. Intrusive load monitoring is costly because the manufactured equipment's are to be installed, and it provides accurate data values of each electric appliance energy consumption to the state electric board and to the consumers. Non-Intrusive load monitoring method is a cost-effective method, because in this method only the few equipment's need to be installed. Load curve monitoring and analysis is an efficient instrument aiming to study, which is necessary to develop Electrical energy distribution network and reduce electrical energy internal consumption. In this paper, the load curve analysis for MLRIT campus which is fed from 440 Volts is presented. The article is concerned with the different load monitoring techniques.

Base loads and Peak loads can be observed and operated in such a way as to reduce unit consumption.MLR college has 315KVA power from the grid as well as 260KW solar power generating unit where 40 percent of the power from the grid is saved. Proper planning for operating the underground bore motors used for Hostels, Mess and College buildings also saves some amount of units consumed by these motors. Further if power factor is maintained 0.99 instead of 0.2 or 0.3 some amount of units consumed can be saved. Further if maximum demand is prevented from reaching beyond the transformer rating then some amount of units consumed can be saved. This number is much less than World Health Organization (WHO) (1:1000) requirement. These necessitate utilization of cutting edge technologies to provide solution to the above issue. In India, healthcare systems are facing number of challenges especially poor quality, unreliable service and lack of timely medical attention to the patient. This paper describes a cost effective, portable working model for health monitoring system. The system is capable of measuring the patient's vital signs and transmitting through wireless communication. This can alert doctors, relatives or ambulance through a Global System for Mobile (GSM) module and share the patient's current location obtained through a Global Positioning System (GPS) module. The vital signs being measured include temperature, Electrocardiogram (ECG) and heart rate in Beats per Minute (BPM). This portable device can eliminate continuous personal monitoring of a patient. The system has been tested using Proteus software before implementation of the hardware.

Satellite-based mapping using geographic information system (GIS) has brought a paradigm shift in the mapping of the natural resources including groundwater. Remote sensing is a cost effective technique to carry out the groundwater prospects mapping which otherwise is difficult to achieve at national scale. A comprehensive database could be created on groundwater resource mapping and assessment using IRS LISS III satellite data from IRS-1C and its follow-on missions like IRS-1D and Resourcesat-1 for the entire India which was first of its kind. A national mission called National Rural Drinking Water Program was launched in the year 1999 to carry out groundwater prospects mapping at 1:50,000 scale for the entire country using 23.5 m resolution IRS LISS III satellite data. The objective of the project was to generate groundwater prospects maps on 1:50,000 scale in GIS format showing (a) different prospective zones in terms of yield and depth of aquifer and (b) tentative sites of different recharge structures suitable in the area. It is imperative that the mammoth task of preparing 4898 groundwater prospects maps on 1:50,000 scale for the entire country has become a reality due to the timely and continuous availability of LISS III satellite images from IRS-1C sensor and its follow-on missions.

Gurram, et al: Pharmaceutical Excipients of Self-microemulsifying Drug Delivery Systems Pharmaceu... more Gurram, et al: Pharmaceutical Excipients of Self-microemulsifying Drug Delivery Systems Pharmaceutical research is focused in designing novel drug delivery systems to improve the bioavailability of poorly water soluble drugs. Self-microemulsifying drug delivery systems, one among the lipid-based dosage forms were proven to be promising in improving the oral bioavailability of such drugs by enhancing solubility, permeability and avoiding first-pass metabolism via enhanced lymphatic transport. Further, they have been successful in avoiding both inter and intra individual variations as well as the dose disproportionality. Aqueous insoluble drugs, in general, show greater solubility in lipid based excipients, and hence they are formulated as lipid based drug delivery systems. The extent of solubility of a hydrophobic drug in lipid excipients i.e. oil, surfactant and co-surfactant (components of self-microemulsifying drug delivery systems) greatly affects the drug loading and in producing stable self-microemulsifying drug delivery systems. The present review highlighted the influence of physicochemical factors and structural features of the hydrophobic drug on its solubility in lipid excipients and an attempt was made to explore the role of each component of self-microemulsifying drug delivery systems in the formation of stable microemulsion upon dilution.

For the present study sodium benzoate was used as hydrotropic agent. By using this hydrotropic agent as water soluble carrier, hydrotropic solid dispersions of Norfloxacin were prepared.in 1:1, 1:2, 1:3 and 1:4 ratios (drug: hydrotropic agent). Equilibrium solubilization of pure drug and hydrotropic solid dispersions of Norfloxacin in distilled water by excess solute method and solubility enhancement ratios were calculated by measuring the absorbance of the solutions at 274.80 nm using UV spectrophotometer. The hydrotropic agent did not interfere in analysis. The results showed that there was an increase in the solubility of Norfloxacin with hydrotropic solid dispersions compared to pure drug in distilled water. There was 9.56 fold enhancement in aqueous solubility of Norfloxacin with hydrotropic solid dispersion of 1:4 ratio compared to 1:1 (6.29), 1:2 (7.09) and 1:3 (8.59) ratios.

An examination is conducted with MATLAB-Simulink based PV module to analyze these effects on the performance of the PV system the simulation process is conducted with different array configurations under nonuniform irradiance conditions. A comparison is made with four test simulation conditions for different PV array arrangement under nonuniform irradiance conditions of Power–Voltage and Current-Voltage characteristic curves.
