The aim of this study is to make a descriptive review of the bibliography available on Barriers a... more The aim of this study is to make a descriptive review of the bibliography available on Barriers against a successful multiple sclerosis treatment.  Different continents, countries and even regions within a country have shown different policies and barriers in relation to MS care access.  The data on adherence suggest that there is patient dissatisfaction with current DMDs, making it a factor to be taken into account when a treatment fails.  The key to an optimal treatment is to achieve an adequate balance between efficacy and safety profile of the treatment, as well as, the inherent risk of disease.  The results of the research suggest different obstacles that can affect the effectiveness of a treatment by reducing its efficacy
