In these cases, the dorsal duct becomes the main pancreatic duct and drains most of the pancreas. Pancreas divisum is mainly asymptomatic, but the prevalence of pancreas divisum is higher in patients with chronic abdominal pain and idiopathic pancreatitis. A study of 20 patients with pancreas divisum (12 men and eight women; aged 19-77 years; mean age 39 years) and who underwent magnetic resonance cholangiopancreatography (MRCP), was performed. In our series, pancreas divisum was clinically manifested as unexplained episodes of abdominal pain (mean duration 3.2 years) (60 percent), mild pancreatitis (30 percent) or incidentally (ten percent). MRCP demonstrated non-communicating dorsal and ventral ducts, independent drainage sites, a dominant dorsal pancreatic duct, and a small cystic dilatation of the dors...

Our Lexicon can be used as a basis for further education on medical economics, or as a reference map for all imaging specialists. CONTENT ORGANIZATION This exhibit will provide a navigation map to radiologists who have no postgraduate special training in health economics. Problems in managing, operating, in construction, acquisition and manipulation of equipment, depreciation and accrued expenses alongside with fixed, marginal and sunk costs in everyday practice, are some of the main topics that will be covered. Different funding health care resources, financial mechanisms and ways of handling uncertainty will be also covered. SUMMARY Radiology is a rapidly evolving field, with new diagnostic methods and interventional techniques continuously replacing the previously accepted. Budgeting and financial control are major parts for strategic planning in modern radiological departmen...

CONTENT ORGANIZATION 1. To present the most important lecturing principles. 2. To show how to design, and deliver an oral presentation dedicated for radiologists. 3. To explain how to manipulate medical images. 4. To show how to avoid common mistakes. 5. To provide tips and tricks about Microsoft PowerPoint software. 6. To show different ways how to appear on the stage. SUMMARY The art of giving good presentations at medical meetings or congresses demands long practice and adherence to a strict set of guidelines. Clarity of the presentation and understanding of the subject are the two most important key points for a successful academic lecture. Audience type, structure and homogeneity or heterogeneity, constitute particularly important factors.

To review pathology and clinical symptoms of knee synovial hemangioma. 2. To pictorially present MR imaging findings of this tumour. 3. To discuss the corresponding differential diagnoses. CONTENT ORGANIZATION 1. Pathology and clinical symptoms of knee synovial hemangioma. 3. Review of MR imaging findings. 4. Present five different cases. 5. Provide differential diagnoses. SUMMARY Although MRI is a useful tool for diagnosis of knee synovial hemangiomas, specific diagnosis can be problematic and delayed. Presence of this tumour should be considered in presentation of long-standing and non-specific knee pain, especially in young population. Arthroscopy is important in both the diagnosis and treatment of these lesions.

HSG demonstrates the morphology of the uterine cavity, the lumina, and the patency of the fallopian tubes. In this review article, we present the technical parameters of the examination, indications, contraindications, and possible complications of HSG. We also illustrate a variety of abnormalities of the uterus and fallopian tubes that can be detected accurately with HSG. We believe that, with the increased demand for HSG, radiologists should be familiar with HSG technique and the interpretation of HSG images.

Studies have reported an incidence of eye problems of up to 40% in critically ill ventilated patients. We conducted this study to assess the incidence of ocular complications in our intensive care unit where all patients are cared for according to an eye care standard.

Physicians should become more selective in the use of monitored beds and in the ordering of a work up to rule out PMI.

Criticisms of the approach are also considered. Weaknesses of existing standards of clinical practice and efforts to bring more certainty to clinical decision making were the foundation for evidence-based medicine, which integrates epidemiology and medical research. Because of its utility in designing randomized clinical trials, assessing the quality of the literature, and applying medical research at the bedside, evidence-based medicine will continue to have a strong influence on everyday clinical practice.
