Examples of these are the eco-driving applications. The implementations of certain ICT systems not only affect the overall traffic performance but also influence the vehicle dynamic and/or driver's attitude. This leads to different results in terms of energy consumption depending on the way in which the differences in behaviour have been modelled. The study provides analysis on the vehicle/driver behaviour which has led to some refinements of the car-following mathematical models.
