The objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of zinc coated seeds on the enzymatic and ... more The objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of zinc coated seeds on the enzymatic and sanitary aspects during storage. One concluded that wheat seed coating with zinc at doses of 3 mL to 4 mL of ZnSO 4 support maximum expression of physiological quality, in addition to wheat seed coating with zinc sulfate is effective during the period of six months of storage. There are variations in expression pattern of EST and GOT enzymes between wheat seeds and seedlings, at different doses of zinc sulfate during storage. Zinc supplied via seeds, associated with fungicide and polymer, results in a lower incidence of fungi in seeds throughout storage period. Seed coating of oatmeal with phosphorus is a viable alternative to the seed sector, since it can ... more Seed coating of oatmeal with phosphorus is a viable alternative to the seed sector, since it can provide the same increase in performance and seedlings in the field. Thus, the objective of the present work was to evaluate the performance of oat seeds coated with different sources and doses of phosphorus. The experimental design was completely randomized with four replications. The treatments were arranged in a factorial design where the factor A tested phytin phosphorus sources and phosphate, and factor B compared the levels of 0, 2, 4, 6 and 8 g kg-1 seed, totaling 10 treatments with four replications. The treated seed physiological quality was evaluated by testing the first count of germination, germination, cold test, accelerated aging, length of shoot and root and shoot mass and root. Este trabalho teve como objetivo fazer um projeto tecnico de adaptacao da linha de producao exist... more Este trabalho teve como objetivo fazer um projeto tecnico de adaptacao da linha de producao existente para beneficiamento de leite e derivados de uma micro-usina de beneficiamento de leite no assentamento de reforma agraria dos produtores da Divisa em Rosario do Sul - RS. O projeto tecnico desenvolvido para colocar em atividade a micro-usina, resultou em analise e estudos dos equipamentos existentes da agroindustria, os quais foram corretamente dimensionados para as linhas de producao de leite integral, queijo prato e bebida lactea, com operacao de 30%, 60% e 100% da capacidade total para o primeiro, segundo e terceiro anos, respectivamente. No início de sua história, a cachaça era reconhecida pelo sabor e a coloração azul, cor que provinha de uma técnica peculiar. O preparo da cachaça azul consiste em adicionar um galho de bergamota na cabeça do alambique. A atual produção de cachaça é comercializada no mercado informal e consiste numa atividade complementar à renda do produtor rural. Este projeto teve o objetivo de estudar a viabilidade da adequação de uma agroindústria de pequeno porte, localizado no interior do município de Cristal que produzirá 3500 L/ano de cachaça, sendo 30% da produção envelhecida em pipas de carvalho. In this way, it is possible to evaluate the quality of seeds based on the anaerobic metabolism of cells when exposed to environments lacking oxygen. Thus, the objective of this study was to establish methodology for evaluating the viability and vigour of 3 lots of cowpea (Amendoim cultivar) seeds using the ethanol test. The treatments were carried out in a completely randomized design with four replications. For the test, 25 seeds were stored in hermetically sealed PET (Polyethylene the Ethylene) bottles containing 40 ml of distilled water and subjected to 3 soaking times in distilled water (6, 24, and 48 h) at a controlled temperature of 40°C in a germinator. The objective of this study was to identify the spatial distribution of the physiological quality... more The objective of this study was to identify the spatial distribution of the physiological quality of soybean seeds during storage from a production field of 39 hectares using geostatistical techniques in the 2012/2013 harvest. Seeds were sampled at geo-referenced points for the determination of physiological quality and spatial dependence analysis. The results were submitted to analysis of descriptive statistics, Pearson's linear correlation and geostatistics. The grid of one point per hectare and a georeferenced sampling mesh with spacing of 100 meters between points was efficient in the evaluation of the spatial variability. It was verified the existence of a negative correlation between the variable protein content and bed bug attack and a significant correlation between the intensity of bed bug damage and the protein content with the variables related to seed quality. Abstract Our planet has been experiencing abrupt climate changes in recent years. The major contr... more Abstract Our planet has been experiencing abrupt climate changes in recent years. The major contributor to this phenomenon is, without doubt, emissions of gases derived from petroleum-based fuels, compared to their high consumption, especially diesel and gasoline. In Brazil, the sum of all motorized trips shows that more than half of them (60%) is based on public transport, with buses carrying 94% of all those who use this service. These vehicles, in their vast majority, use the technology of Compression Ignition (CI) engines. On the other hand, studies have shown that the country has a high biofuel production potential from various sources, such as landfills and hydroelectric plants, with an extensive production of biogas and hydrogen, that can be used, for example, in Spark Ignition (SI) engines. Nevertheless, SI engines have lower efficiency than CI engines. Part load operation of SI engines is conventionally achieved by the use of a throttle to control the airflow or air-fuel mixture into the engine. When operating at partial load the throttle causes exergy losses what affecting on decreasing engine efficiency. With the objective of analysing the emission of pollutants and the efficiency of conversion of fuel chemical energy, this work presents an analysis on the use of blends of hydrogen (H2), biogas (BIO60) and methane (BIO95) using an SI engine. The system was operated in partial load and the addition of H2 was an attempt to increase efficiency by reducing the pumping work through the throttle, once it was possible increasing the lambda value. The tests were performed at different ignition angles and air/fuel ratio. The value of ignition advance angle has been adjusted to obtain maximum Brake Thermal Efficiency (BTE) of the engine. It was possible to recognize that the addition of H2 allowed the combustion limits to be extended. On the other hand, reduced values of CO and NOx emissions could be achieved.

A semente é um dos principais insumos da agricultura e sua qualidade é um dos fatores primordiais... more A semente é um dos principais insumos da agricultura e sua qualidade é um dos fatores primordiais ao estabelecimento de qualquer cultura em campo. Este trabalho objetivou identificar quais os critérios que levam o agricultor de milho, na escolha e compra de sua semente para efetuar a semeadura da cultura, na região de Votuporanga-SP. Para isso, foi aplicado pessoalmente um questionário contendo um total de 29 questões, sendo 11 de múltipla escolha e 8 fechadas. De acordo com os resultados, germinação e vigor, são os principais fatores fisiológicos que os agricultores mais levam em consideração no momento da escolha da semente; o desempenho de outros agricultores da região pode influenciar diretamente a tomada de decisão de compra de outro cliente; e que a assistência técnica oferecida e a promoção de dias de campos, são duas variáveis de maior influência no momento de adquirir sementes. como a apoio na gestão dos processos.

In this way, it is possible to evaluate the quality of seeds based on the anaerobic metabolism of cells when exposed to environments lacking oxygen. Thus, the objective of this study was to establish methodology for evaluating the viability and vigour of 3 lots of cowpea (Amendoim cultivar) seeds using the ethanol test. The treatments were carried out in a completely randomized design with four replications. For the test, 25 seeds were stored in hermetically sealed PET (Polyethylene the Ethylene) bottles containing 40 ml of distilled water and subjected to 3 soaking times in distilled water (6, 24, and 48 h) at a controlled temperature of 40°C in a germinator. Seeds were sampled at geo-referenced points for the determination of physiological quality and spatial dependence analysis. The results were submitted to analysis of descriptive statistics, Pearson's linear correlation and geostatistics. The grid of one point per hectare and a georeferenced sampling mesh with spacing of 100 meters between points was efficient in the evaluation of the spatial variability. The major contributor to this phenomenon is, without doubt, emissions of gases derived from petroleum-based fuels, compared to their high consumption, especially diesel and gasoline. In Brazil, the sum of all motorized trips shows that more than half of them (60%) is based on public transport, with buses carrying 94% of all those who use this service. These vehicles, in their vast majority, use the technology of Compression Ignition (CI) engines. On the other hand, studies have shown that the country has a high biofuel production potential from various sources, such as landfills and hydroelectric plants, with an extensive production of biogas and hydrogen, that can be used, for example, in Spark Ignition (SI) engines. Nevertheless, SI engines have lower efficiency than CI engines. Part load operation of SI engines is conventionally achieved by the use of a throttle to control the airflow or air-fuel mixture into the engine. When operating at partial load the throttle causes exergy losses what affecting on decreasing engine efficiency. With the objective of analysing the emission of pollutants and the efficiency of conversion of fuel chemical energy, this work presents an analysis on the use of blends of hydrogen (H2), biogas (BIO60) and methane (BIO95) using an SI engine. The system was operated in partial load and the addition of H2 was an attempt to increase efficiency by reducing the pumping work through the throttle, once it was possible increasing the lambda value. The tests were performed at different ignition angles and air/fuel ratio. The value of ignition advance angle has been adjusted to obtain maximum Brake Thermal Efficiency (BTE) of the engine. It was possible to recognize that the addition of H2 allowed the combustion limits to be extended. On the other hand, reduced values of CO and NOx emissions could be achieved.

Este trabalho objetivou identificar quais os critérios que levam o agricultor de milho, na escolha e compra de sua semente para efetuar a semeadura da cultura, na região de Votuporanga-SP. Para isso, foi aplicado pessoalmente um questionário contendo um total de 29 questões, sendo 11 de múltipla escolha e 8 fechadas. De acordo com os resultados, germinação e vigor, são os principais fatores fisiológicos que os agricultores mais levam em consideração no momento da escolha da semente; o desempenho de outros agricultores da região pode influenciar diretamente a tomada de decisão de compra de outro cliente; e que a assistência técnica oferecida e a promoção de dias de campos, são duas variáveis de maior influência no momento de adquirir sementes. como a apoio na gestão dos processos.
