arasındaki dönem, Türkiye Cumhuriyeti'nin ulus-devlet ilkesi temelinde kurulduğu ve gelişimini sü... more arasındaki dönem, Türkiye Cumhuriyeti'nin ulus-devlet ilkesi temelinde kurulduğu ve gelişimini sürdürdüğü; modernleşme atılımı çerçevesinde önemli sosyal, siyasal değişimlerin yaşandığı; Türk Devleti'nin, Batı medeniyeti örneklemindeki modernleşme sürecinde önemli aşamalar kaydettiği bir dönemi işaret etmektedir. Bu makalede, Türkiye'de modernleşme sürecinin bir boyutunu oluşturan Kültür İnkılabı çerçevesindeki Türk Musiki İnkılabı ve şairin musiki inkılabına nazaran konumu, eserleri odağında incelenmiştir. Bu doğrultuda öncelikle kültür, sanat, edebiyat dünyası üzerinde önemli etkileri olan "modernleşme" üzerinde durulmuş ve Yahya Kemal'in "modern" kavramıyla kurduğu ilişki, dönemin hâkim anlayışıyla karşılıklı olarak incelenip tartışılmıştır. Türk Musiki İnkılabını hazırlayan tarihsel koşullar ve 1930'lu yıllarda alaturka musikinin yerine Batı tarzı müziğin ve enstrümanlarının Türk müzik kültüründe benimsetilmeye çalışılması ele alınmış; halk müziğinin Batı'nın çok sesli müzik kültürüne uyarlanması gibi uygulamalar yoluyla inkılabın hayata geçirilişinin panoraması ortaya konulmuştur. Ardından Yahya Kemal'in şiirlerinde musiki, metin merkezli okuma yoluyla ele alınmış; şairin musikiye değiniler içeren düz yazılarından ve yayımlanmış sohbetlerinden şiirlerin çözümlenmesinde gerektikçe yararlanılmıştır. Yahya Kemal, modernin -çağa uygun, çağcıl, asri olanın-inşasında milletin geçmişinden damıtılan sanatsal, estetik birikimin değerlendirilmesi, bu birikimin/belleğin, belli bir siyasete özgü kılınıp yadsınmaması gereğini, bir hatip olarak değil; bir şair olarak eseri üzerinden savunur. Bunu, şiirinde eski Türk musikisini konu ederek, ona gönderimlerde bulunarak, içinde bulunduğu psikolojiyi musiki terimleri üzerinden kavrayarak ve yansıtarak gerçekleştirir. Yahya Kemal'in şiirlerini musiki perspektifinden değerlendiren bu çalışmada, şairin eski Türk musikisini bir "şark musikisi" olarak görmediği; Türk vatanı ve milletine temsiliyet yetkisiyle bağlı, millî bir değer olarak benimsediği, şiirleri üzerinden tespit edilmiştir.
MELAMISM AND RINDANE SENSIBILITY IN THE YAHYA KEMAL'S POEMS / YAHYA KEMAL'İN ŞİİRLERİNDE MELAMİLİK VE RİNDANE DUYUŞ, 2023
In the poetry of Yahya Kemal Beyatlı (1884-1958), one of the founders of New Turkish Literature, ... more In the poetry of Yahya Kemal Beyatlı (1884-1958), one of the founders of New Turkish Literature, the themes of Melamism and Rindane sensibility occupy an important place, both directly and indirectly. Melamism, originating in the west of Turkistan and spreading towards Iraq, Baghdad, Mosul, Syria, and Aleppo via Horasan, has amalgamated with beliefs such as Kalenderism and Batinism, losing its original purity. However, the Melamism found in the poetry of Yahya Kemal represents the pure and authentic Melamism that Abdülbaki Gölpınarlı called the Melamism of the second period, known as Bayrami Melamism. Accordingly, Melamism expresses profound wisdom and reveals the "Rint" to be a wise human archetype. The 'rint' behaves independently of praise and criticism, disregarding material and spiritual gains, aware of the transience of life, the finiteness of existence and the reality of death. However, in the face of these harsh realities, the 'rint' does not succumb to despair and avoids unresolved situations that could lead to tragic consequences. They deflect existential questions with the beauty of life, experiencing life with spiritual pleasure, joy and lightness. The "rint" is characterised by humility, tolerance, serenity, a calm view of both existence and non-existence, and freedom from all forms of conflict. In the poetry of Yahya Kemal Beyatlı, the concept of Melamism is intertwined with the historical context and acquires new qualities in the poet's world of interpretation. The psychological and spiritual tranquillity it embodies not only makes life more meaningful, but also alleviates the agnostic fears that arise from contemplating death. This article discusses Melamism and Rindane sensibility in Yahya Kemal's poetry as an important theme/way of perceiving life. In this context, Melamism is first examined within its historical trajectory and the characteristics of the "rint" archetype are elucidated. Subsequently, Yahya Kemal's major poems on the subject were analysed using the text-centred reading method, taking into account his prose and published conversations that can be used to interpret the poems.

a poet and intellectual in the establishment of the Republic of Turkey. In addition to his contributions to
literature, he wrote articles during the years of the Turkish War of Independence and later held active positions
in the state structure. The period spanning from 1908 to 1958, during which he produced his own works,
represents a period in which the newly established Republic of Turkey continued its efforts for development
while looking to Western civilization as a model. This article will examine Yahya Kemal's position within the
context of the Turkish Music Revolution, which is one aspect of the modernization process in Turkey. Firstly,
it will address Yahya Kemal's perspective on the concept of 'modernity' and its relationship with the prevalent
understanding of the era. Subsequently, it will discuss the ideas that paved the way for the Turkish Music
Revolution and how this revolution was implemented. Furthermore, it will employ a text-focused analysis
method to explore the theme of 'music' in Yahya Kemal's poetry. Additionally, reference will be made to his
writings related to music and transcribed speeches. The article will demonstrate that Yahya Kemal did not view
Classical Turkish music as "Eastern music" but rather embraced it as a national music closely connected to the
Turkish homeland and nation. His belief in the necessity of preserving traditional Turkish music within the
modernization process will be elucidated through his poetry.

It takes into account the indigenous, national and Islamic values of the Turkish-Islamic civilization. In this direction, she has brought more than fourty works to Turkish literature. The author reveals the psychological development of the individual towards Turkish Islamic mysticism. On the other hand, it concentrates on national values. It aims to bring knowledge, language, religion, morality and history to Turkish society. In this article, the importance of national consciousness will be discussed in the works of Ayverdi.

Functions of Description in Samiha Ayverdi's Novels Eight novels written by Samiha Ayverdi (1906-... more Functions of Description in Samiha Ayverdi's Novels Eight novels written by Samiha Ayverdi (1906-1993), one of the most important writers of the Republican Period Turkish Literature involves the spiritual search and illumination that develops on a basis of Islamic Sufism. This wring will focus on Ayverdi's three novels named Son Menzil (Last Range), Ateş Ağacı (Fever Tree), İnsan ve Şeytan (Human and Devil) which implies to metaphysical planes in terms of its topics, transforms philosophical concepts into descriptions and conveys it to the fictional plane of the novels; reflects the characteristic features and lives of the characters; animates the individual-physiological process period; studies feelings and thoughts that are not directly spoken by means of imagery and the descriptions present the actions in the nominal world of the novels.

Âsaf Hâlet Çelebi (1907-1958)'nin şiiri, Dünya Edebiyatlarından kurulu büyük nakışa Türk Şiiri ta... more Âsaf Hâlet Çelebi (1907-1958)'nin şiiri, Dünya Edebiyatlarından kurulu büyük nakışa Türk Şiiri tarafından işlenmiş en önemli motiflerden biridir. Çelebi'nin, bir dizesi ile de Om Mani Padme Hum adlı üçüncü şiir kitabına adını veren Sidharta başlıklı şiirinde insan, psikolojik platformda, evrenle bütünleştiği bir an içerisinden mistik bir duyuşla resmedilirken, şiirin farklı kültürlerin etkileşiminden doğan yoğun metaforik yapısı dikkat çeker. Onda Buddha, Zen ve İslâm tasavvuf felsefesinin kavramlarıyla yoğrulmuş olan edebî dil, sese verilen önemle birleşerek incelip saflaşmıştır. Âsaf Hâlet Çelebi'nin, ilk dizesinden son dizesine, fikri uyandıran bir ses hâlini almış olan Sidharta adlı şiiri Çelebi'nin yazdığı "kültür şiiri" nin iyi örneklerinden biri olarak metin merkezli okuma yoluyla incelenecektir.
