This study examines the perception of PWDs on acceptance of disability by PWDS themselves and by the public and its association with the demographic factors. The findings show besides inadequate infrastructure and support system, PWDs with lower qualification perceives a low acceptance of disability by the public. Given this, a well-structured inclusive special education together with an adequate infrastructure is essential to have a higher perception of acceptance of disability and for PWDS to participate in the economy. Keywords: people with disability; acceptance; perception; disability.eISSN 2398-4295 © 2018. The econometric techniques used are unit root test and the Johansen Cointegration. The Granger Causality test using Block Exogeneity Wald test was added to analyze the causal relationships between the variables. The unit root test showed that all variables were stationary at first difference and thus the Johansen Co-integration test is an appropriate technique to employ. The evidence from co-integration test indicates that all the five series have three (3) co-integrating equations and significance at 1 percent level of significance. The causality test indicated there is a significant unidirectional causality between POV on GDP, CPI on POV, POV on TOU, GDP on UNE, GDP on TOU and CPI on TOU and bidirectional causality between POV an...

Using the quarterly data from 2006(Quarter 1) to 2015 (Quarter 4) the study found that GDP growth, price of oil, broad money supply and average overnight interbank rate have significant and negative impact on unemployment rate in Malaysia. The findings of the study also indicate the existence of Okun's law which postulates A positive relationship between GDP and unemployment. Policy makers could formulate policies related to the above macroeconomic variable to enhance unemployment reduction. On the other hand, the inflation rate shows a positive effect but is not significant.

Quality of life is measured by 50 items on self-reported health, safety, and social support. The findings showed a small, but significant positive relationships between housing conditions, health, safety, and social support which provide empirical evidence of the relationship between housing conditions and quality of life. This enlightens the issue of considering housing condition as a social economic indicator of urban poverty.
