However, this study identified some important new concepts and limitations/defects of traditional MADM for solving the real-world problems. First, the traditional MADM model assumes that criteria considered are independent and hierarchical in structure; however, the real-world problems often involve interdependent criteria, and thus interdependent models are required. Second, relatively good solutions from existing alternatives are replaced by the aspiration levels. Third, the trend has shifted from how to “rank” or “select” the most preferable alternatives, to how to “improve” their performances. Fourth, information fusion/aggregation, such as fuzzy integrals, basically, a non-additive/super-additive model, has been developed for performance aggregation. Therefore, to overcome the defects of the conventional MADM m...

Therefore, researches on factors influencing consumers' behavior and thus, repurchase intention toward smartphones become the most critical issue for smartphone marketers. The smartphone operation system (OS) is one of the major factors influencing consumers' purchase decisions toward purchasing smartphones. However, the analysis and predictions of consumer behaviors toward the smartphone OSs are not easy due to due to the fast emerging technology and highly competitive market situation. To resolve this problem, this research aims to propose a novel multiple criteria decision making (MCDM) based approach for discovering the factors influencing the technology acceptances of the smartphone OSs based on industry experts' opinions. The opinions of mass users will also be summarized by using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) based Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) for comparisons. Differences of the analytic results being derived by the two analytic frameworks will be compared. Both the analytic framework and results can serve as the basis for future smartphone marketers' uses for strategy definitions.

A wide range of criteria are used to assess smartphone software quality, but most of these criteria have interdependent or interactive characteristics, which can make it difficult to effectively analyze and improve smartphone use intention. The purpose of this study is to address this issue using a hybrid MCDM (multiple criteria decision-making) approach that includes the DEMATEL (decision-making trial and evaluation laboratory), DANP (the DEMATEL-based analytic network process) methods to achieve an optimal solution. By exploring the influential interrelationships between criteria related to mobile communication industry's and related value-added service content providers' reference in the respect of operation. This approach can be used to solve interdependence and feedback problems, allowing for greater satisfaction of the actual needs of mobile communication industries.

It is a gradual trend that the product life cycle is becoming shorter. The product manager intends to achieve the highest customer satisfaction, product value and product continuity. Therefore, to evaluate performance of NPD becomes a critical issue on the NPD process selection which is considered in many different uncertain aspects. Thus, this situation can be regarded as a fuzzy multiple criteria decision-making (FMCDM) problem, so the vagueness and uncertainty of subjective perception could be considered. In this paper, the non-additive (called super-additive) fuzzy integral is used to deal with evaluation of fuzzy MCDM problems particularly while there is dependence among the selected criteria. We can evaluate the quality performance of NPD process according to the result of empirical analysis. Consequently, DEMATEL is used to explore the relevance for the selected criteria of NPD process which is used to find the directions of problem-solving. The results of this study will provide NPD project team a guidance to satisfy the customer needs and creative the value of enterprise business.

Moreover, since the middle of 2008, the financial tsunami has caused serious damage to the global economy. They lack the financial and systematic basis to introduce knowledge management practices and make innovations. Several researchers have explored the gaps in the knowledge management activities of enterprises. Their studies reveal that corporate performance is significantly influenced by those gaps. This paper proposes a Group Decision Approach for making strategic decisions about knowledge management adoption. Our research aimed to clarify the misunderstanding of high expenditure on knowledge management systems adoption, and provided a novel approach for the most emergent knowledge management components to catch up the paces of their rival for the late adopter of knowledge management systems.

A wide range of criteria is used to assess the quality of cloud computing services. By exploring the interrelationships among criteria related to operations in the mobile communications industry and related value-added service content providers, this approach can be used to solve interdependence and feedback problems.

However, the complex and ambiguous relationship between R&D and the subsequent financial performance varies and is still under-explored. Previous studies based on statistical analyses are not able to provide individual guidance considering the specific circumstance/status of a company. Therefore, the aim of this study is to explore the inherent patterns or rules—by a two-stage soft computing model—to guide semiconductor companies to improve its financial performance, considering R&D and the other factors. This research uses a group of semiconductor companies in Taiwan as an empirical case, and the research period ranges from 2006 to 2013. Compare with the conventional discriminant analysis approach, the obtained decision rules from the proposed rule-based analytic model shows superior results that may classify the financial performance of semiconductor companies by a set of...

How to handle its performance evaluation to adjust, maintain, or even excel the existing competitive strength is also the important issue. Especially on the critical time to make a fresh start on Air Force in Taiwan, this study employed an integrated model, Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) with Fuzzy Multi-Objective Programming (FMOP), to calculate the efficiency achievement for our decision making units (DMUs). Through implementation of our proposed model, we can determine a common non-preferential parameter for evaluating process, and then identify those DMUs in efficient and inefficient groups significantly. With the 2001-2003 data from the budget-accounting & statistics departments of Air Force in Taiwan, we successfully demonstrated the proposed integrated model applying on performance evaluation of real problems and conducted four efficient units.
