Abstract Aluminium alloys are known for their high strength, wear and outstanding corrosion resis... more Abstract Aluminium alloys are known for their high strength, wear and outstanding corrosion resistance. These alloys have proved their worth in various sectors such as automotive, aerospace, marine, defense and numerous other industrial applications. Owing to the incorporation of different reinforcement in aluminum alloys, it is relatively easier to develop novel composites with desirable properties. The selection of reinforcement is based upon the desired properties and wettability of the base matrix. Various aluminum alloy series have been evolved in the recent past and are still being explored. Researchers have extended the properties of different series of aluminium alloys by reinforcing them with other materials, it be ceramics, metals and solid lubricants, etc. The identification of the particular series at a time becomes an issue for scientists and researchers, and many authors have reviewed the work performed on various aluminum alloys. This paper attempts to bring forth the wear and frictional behavior of two aluminum alloys, AA 6061 and AA 6082. The work performed on these alloys in the previous years has been thoroughly reviewed with respect to their tribological performance and discussed here. This paper will enlighten researchers about the existing wear and frictional behavior of various materials based on the said series, and it will be a great concern for the researchers.

Amongst various available materials, aluminium holds a prominent place on the basis of its high stiffness and low density. Many series have been developed in order to meet upcoming challenges in day to day life. Aluminum based composite materials play an important role in various sectors especially in aeronautical and automotive sectors because of their unique characteristics. A comprehensive review of the research carried out on aluminium based composites in the past years. The present work focuses on the mechanical characterization of Al 7050 and Al 7075 alloys based materials. This assessment will enlighten researchers about the various compositions developed so far, and throw light on their properties.

By utilizing secondary data sources, the study seeks to provide insights into the mechanisms through which GST contributes to sustainable growth and development in this culturally significant industry. Thus, the study reveals how GST helps promote sustainability in the Indian handicrafts sector through various dimensions, including simplifying tax procedures and fostering innovation, emphasizing the strategic significance of GST in supporting sustainable growth. This paper investigates the mechanical properties and forming capabilities of magnesium ZE10. Mec... more This paper investigates the mechanical properties and forming capabilities of magnesium ZE10. Mechanical properties are observed by stress strain diagram. Three types of the samples are used which are machined from thin sheets of 0.8mm thickness in 00, 450, 900 of the rolling direction (RD). The samples are then tested at different temperatures varying from room temperature (RT) to 400°C. The factors that are considered in tensile tests are Youngs modulus, Yield strength, Ultimate tensile strength and fracture strain. The later part of this paper is devoted to deep drawing tests in which specimen are drawn from room temperature to 250°C. In these tests variation of Limit Drawing Ratio (LDR) is investigated at different temperatures. The other parameters observed are drawing depth, punch force, blank holder force and their variation from room temperature to elevated temperature.

The main objective of the paper is to show that using DISTRIBUTION STATCOM (DSTATCOM), it is possible to reduce the voltage fluctuations like sag and swell conditions in distribution systems. In this Paper different topologies of DSTATCOM (distribution static compensator) are discussed. The distribution static compensator (DSTATCOM) shunt connected device capable of compensating power quality problems in the load current. A shunt active filter is intended for installation on a power distribution system. The active filter has an additional capability to regulate the distribution line voltage by means of adjusting reactive power. Theoretical analysis investigates the dynamic performance of combined harmonic damping and voltage regulation. High-quality aluminum-based composites are well known for their microhardness and high refractoriness performance in aerospace with the advantage of structural applications. The boron carbide ceramic as a reinforcement plays an outstanding function in the base matrix to enhance the mechanical behavior of the composites. The present effort revealed that the synthesized composites were fabricated by the stir casting process and B4C having a particulate size of 50 µm were reinforced from 1% to 15% in the AA 6061 by varying weight percentages. Different metals and alloys are fabricated as composites using various combinations of materials with various fabrication methods. The current article explores a detailed overview of the methodologies, including solid, semi-solid, liquid and vapour routes, adopted by many researchers for the synthesis of reinforced aluminium-based materials. The influence of reinforcement in terms of natural resources and industrial waste considered recently is briefly discussed. Based on the literature review, research work has also focused on exploring the most economical and frequently employed synthesis methods for the fabrication of aluminium matrix composites.
