We report a case of gastroduodenal and intestinal trichobezoar in a 5-year-old girl, who consulted with an occlusive syndrome in whom the diagnosis of gastric and intestinal trichobezoar was diagnosed by ultrasound and confirmed intra-operatively. Our aim is to clarify the value of imaging in the diagnosis of this entity.

It is a life-threatening infection associated with high mortality rates. Invasive pulmonary aspergillosis (IPA) is the most severe form of the disease. Extrapulmonary forms can develop as a primary infection or occur as part of a disseminated infection from the lung in severely immunocompromised patients. The major limitation in the management of these infections is the challenge of early diagnosis. Case presentation Here we report a case of secondary cutaneous aspergillosis that developed from extensive pulmonary aspergillosis in a 3-year-old female who underwent immunosuppressive therapy for a diagnosed Behçet disease (BD). Aspergillus hyphae were identified on skin biopsies. Cultures grew Aspergillus fumigatus. The diagnosis of cutaneous aspergillosis enabled us to diagnose IPA, although there was no mycopathological proof of lung i...

It consists of the passage of abdominal or pelvic contents through the inguinal orifice. It is rare for the contents of the hernial sac to be bladder. Its discovery is most often fortuitous since no clinical sign generally allows it to be detected. The treatment is surgical which consists of reintegrating the bladder intra-pelvic. We report the case of a patient, in whom the diagnosis of an inguinal bladder hernia was made fortuitously after realizing an uro-scanner within the framework of the etiological assessment of a ureterohydronephrosis.

It is a closed delamination between the fascia superficialis and the cutaneous-subcutaneous tissue. This empty space is filled with fluid and may be complicated by surinfection and tissue necrosis. Regularly described in heavy traumatology, but can also be seen in post-surgical situations, it should not be ignored in routine practice. We present the case of post-surgical Morel-Lavallée lesion and we discuss the clinical presentation, pathophysiology, imaging features of Morel-Lavallée lesions. Role of imaging in guiding prompt and appropriate treatment has also been discussed.

Her obstetric, developmental, and family history was normal. Inspection of her posture on standing revealed severe sagittal plane deformity including lumbosacral kyphosis and lumbar hyperlordosis with flexion at hips and knees (crouched position). with back pain radiating to the legs, motor and sensory dysfunction of the lower extremities, bladder dysfunction, and saddle anesthesias. Plain radiography and computed tomography (CT scan) showed bilateral L5 pars defect, dysplastic L5- S1 facets, trapezoidal L5 vertebral body, retroverted sacrum with rounding of proximal endplate, and complete anterior descent of the L5 vertebrae to the sacrum (Figures 2(a)–2(d)). Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of lumbosacral region revealed severe dural compression...

Only few cases have been published in the literature. In its renal location, the diagnosis of teratoma is rarely mentioned preoperatively since its clinical and radiological signs are not very specific, the final diagnosis is often confirmed by the pathological study. We report the case of a cystic intra renal teratoma in a three-month-old infant who underwent an enlarged nephrectomy with pathologic confirmation of the diagnosis. Surgery is the treatment of choice for intrarenal teratoma. It is usually not sensitive to chemotherapy, so this diagnosis should always be borne in mind in front of a cystic kidney mass in order to avoid chemotherapy that is harmful to these young patients.

Diagnosis is primarily based on clinical examination and imaging (CT or MRI). This study aims to highlight the role of imaging, in particular CT scan, in the diagnosis and in the treatment of this pathology. We conducted a retrospective study of 56 cases of orbital cellulitis, whose data were collected in the Department of Radiology at the Hospital mother and child CHU Mohamed VI, Marrakech over a period of six years (January 2011-October 2017). Patients underwent cranio-orbital CT scan. The average age of patients was 5 years, with a slight female predominance. The disease mainly involved the sinus (22 patients). The analysis of computed tomography results highlighted 37 cases of preseptal cellulitis (66%), 3 cases of isolated retroseptal cellulitis (5%), 16 cases of mixed cellulitis (28%), 8 cases of exophthalmia (14%) and 4 cases of subperiosteal abscess (7%). Orbital cellulitis is a serious infection in children, aff...

This syndrome is more frequently described in the Asian population and has been associated with certain viral and bacterial infections, including influenza. In this case, patients usually present general symptoms before the onset of neurological symptoms. We report the case of a 06-year-old child who presented a flu-like syndrome associated with dysarthria and ataxia then a disorder of consciousness. The cerebral CT scan showed a hypodensity of the splenium of the corpus callosum and the cerebral MRI showed an increased diffusion with restriction of the ADC of the same region. The influenza A virus was isolated in the nasopharyngeal swab. The neurological symptoms of MERS can be highly variable, mainly in the paediatric population. Clinicians should be aware of this...

Responsible for an eosinophilic inflammatory syndrome causing liver damage that can be detected on ultrasound, computed tomography and sometimes magnetic resonance imaging. We report the case of a nineyear-old child, living in countryside, with a notion of cohabitation with canids. He presented a digestive symptomatology revealed by abdominal pain, with a hemeosinophilia in the hemogram. The etiological assessment of hyper eosinophilia objectified a positive Toxocara canisserology. The imaging assessment in search of digestive visceral lesions, found multiple heterogeneous hypoechogenic areas, poorly defined, scattered in the liver.
