It is the most sustainable farming method that can be applied in all climate zones. The founder of biodynamic agriculture; Rudolf Steiner was a philosopher, scientist, educator, artist and founder of anthroposophical school, who was born in Austria in the second half of the 19th century. As a result of researches and observations about the human spirit; Rudolf Steiner has developed a new perspective in the field of agriculture as in other fields. The impact of nature, humanity and the environment on the continuation of life on the cosmos and distant planets is the basic philosophy of biodynamic agriculture. Thus, the concept of ecological-organic agriculture has begun to be introduced again. For this purpose, "Biodynamic Agriculture" came to life with the information given to farmers under the title of "Agricultural Courses" in 8 different seminars at Koberwitz in 1924. In our country, the first...

Ancak, günümüzde sürdürülebilir tarım uygulamaları kapsamında, bitkisel üretim sürecinde sentetik kimyasallara alternatif yeni materyallerin ve yöntemlerin araştırma çalışmaları giderek hız kazanmaktadır. Bu tür alternatif uygulamaların başında ise, günümüzde kullanımı gittikçe yaygınlaşan rizobakteriler (PGPR) yer almaktadır. Bu çalışmada da büyüme düzenleyicilerine alternatif olabilecek iki farklı bakteri izolatının (Bacillus cereus (ZE-7) ve Pseudomonas putida (ZE-12) karadut odun çeliklerinin köklenmesi üzerine etkisi araştırılmıştır. Bu amaçla, aralık ayı sonunda Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa Üniversitesi Araştırma ve Uygulama Merkezine ait karadut yetiştiriciliği yapılan seradan temin edilen odun çeliklerine bakteri izolatları tek başına ve 6000 ppm oksin (Indole-3-butyric acid-IBA) ile birlikte uygulanmıştır. Çelikler 10 saniye IBA çözeltisinde ardından 30 dakika bakteri...

The Basin is located in the Middle Black Sea Region of Anatolia, at 40.9968 North, 30.8491 East, 36.0482 South, and 36.6943 West coordinates. The total area of the basin is 16.244,45 hectares. The altitude of the basin surrounded by high mountains ranged from 200 m (base of the valley) to 1200 m (high plain). The height of the mountains gradually increased from west to east until 2400 m. There is not any major industry establishment limiting the level of organic agriculture in the basin. The main livelihood of the people in the region is agriculture. Our study aimed to determine and mapping the suitable areas for organic agriculture in the basin. For this purpose, land surveys were conducted, point data were collected with GPS and the 1230-point value are calculated. On the calculation of point value, Land Use Capability, land pollution situation, erosion risk groups, ...

The experiment was carried out in the polyethylene greenhouse of Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University Research and Application Center, in 2021. As material, hardwood cuttings prepared from one-year-old branches of black mulberry trees were used. The cuttings were divided into 3 different groups and planted in rooting beds containing perlite with bottom heating (22±2 °C). First group of cuttings were planted into beds as soon as taken from tree (control), the second group of cuttings were plantend after the cuttings were kept under daylight conditions for 5 days (in the open) and third group cuttings were planted after the cuttings were kept in the dark conditions (in the dark) for 5 days in both conditions soaked in water. All cuttings were dipped in 6000 ppm IBA (indole-3-butyric acid) hormone for 5 seconds just before planting. The experiment is with 3 repl...

For this purpose, microcapsules containing lavender oil (1000 and 1500 ppm) and naturally obtained walnut tea (33% and 50%) were used. Sucrose (4%) was added to all vase solutions, including the control group solutions. The experiment was set up with 3 replications (three vases) for each treatment and one flower per replication. As a result of the experiment, it was observed that both walnut tea and lavender treatments did not cause a significant change in the vase life of the Terra Ozan cultivars. In the Basic cultivar, the vase life of the flowers in the solution containing lavender oil was longer than that in the solution containing walnut tea, but both treatments did not make a significant difference compared to the control. In Ulaş, both walnut tea and lavender oil applications caused significant increases in the vase life of the flowers. The applications made in the stud...

In addition to the effects of global warming in many other areas, its effect on cold accumulation is also a reason of concern. As a result, many studies have been carried out in important horticultural areas around the world on the impact of climate change on cold accumulation. In this study, historical changes of cold accumulation calculated using five models were examined in 12 locations in Turkey for the first time. Results show that there was no significant trend in cold accumulation in the provinces of Ankara, Bingöl, Diyarbakır, Malatya, and Tunceli. In some locations, the significance, magnitude, and direction of the chilling trend differed according to the model used. All five models used in the study indicated significant decreases in winter chill accumulation in Şanlıurfa, a site with relatively mild winters. In Erzincan, which has relatively cold winters...

The main problem is almost always early leafing. The environmental adaptations of Turkish national walnut cultivars are often poor due to early bud break and sensitivity to walnut blight and anthracnose. Therefore it is necessary to carry out a breeding programme for developing new cultivars in Turkey. This study was conducted out to determine genetic variability and select superior walnut types within seedling population of Amasya Province. During the study, 5000 walnut seedling trees were evaluated for late flowering, lateral bud fruitfulness, blight and antracnosis tolerance and high quality fruits. In term of high yield capacity in lateral branch and late leafing, 20 walnut types were selected. The vegetation cycle begins mainly in the second and third decade of April. In the selected genotypes, nut weight ranged from 7.46 to 15.21 g, kernel weight ranged from 3.73 to 7.44 g and kernel percent varied from 46.15 to 63.16%. The kernel of selected types was light colored. Among selected walnut types, the percentages of lateral bud fruitfulness were determined between 30 and 70%. Selected walnut genotypes will be used for further breeding purposes in terms of yield capacities, nut characteristics, and cold hardiness.
