Literature on foreign direct investment (FDI) response to IQ has examined the symmetric association of this connection, while there is a probability of the existence of asymmetries. This study adds to the FDI literature by investigating the symmetric and asymmetric effects of IQ on sectoral FDI in China.Using the ARDL and NARDL techniques on quarterly data, we find that IQ has both thesymmetric and asymmetric effects on FDI. This offers useful policy input for stakeholder – importantly, to carefully contemplate the policy refinement based on symmetric dynamics unless asymmetric directions are not examined.

This abstract describes how human longevity is shortened by three old aged deadly diseases namely Cancer, Cardiovascular Diseases and Alzheimer. To prolong human life beyond one hundred years, we focus on the rational drug design to treat one old age disease one at a time. Our work began on Cancers starting in England and completed in America. More research fund is available by both The Royal Cancer Hospital of the University of London, England, and The National Cancer Institute (NCI) of America to develop drugs to treat Cancer than any other diseases. We describe below how novel drugs, like Aziridine Dinitro-benzamide (CB1954) was developed in England to treat Cancer in animals, such as Walker Carcinoma 256, a solid aggressive tumor in Rats and how the animal work is translated in humans, by developing AZQ (US Patent 4,146,622) a rationally designed drug to treat Glioblastoma, a solid aggressive brain t...

The large-scale market-friendly reforms have resulted in massive FDI inflows and high export diversification along with the extensive as well as intensive margins. By using the ARDL and VECM approaches, this paper revisits the theoretical and empirical connection between export diversification and FDI inflows in the framework of the Melitz model. The cointegration outcomes indicate a long-run relationship between export diversification and FDI, where the later has a diversifying effect on Chinese exports. The estimated coefficients show that export concentration has negatively related to FDI in China. Conversely, the results validate the presence of a positive spillover effect on export diversification. The reverse effect also holds, and the results indicate that export concentration has a negative effect on FDI or in other words, export diversificati...

The etch pits were broken along the lengths/heights of the cones and scanning electron microscope (SEM) analysis of their side views was carried out. Detailed SEM studies indicate that the cone angle (θ) and the critical angle of etching (θc), decrease with the increasing Z of the incoming particle. On the other hand, there does not seem to be any significant dependence on the initial energy of the projectiles. Phosphate glass has been found to yield much smaller values of θ and θc as compared to that produced by a soda lime glass detector for the same projectiles. The studies suggest that these results can be profitably employed for the determination of the Z of the particle.

It has been observed that both the above u.v. sources (particularly the sun) are quite effective in the enhancement of the latent damage.

Optical-and scanning-electron microscopes (SEM) were employed in these studies. In Muscovite mica, observable changes in the fission fragment etch-pit opening, the etched-track profile, and the general etching velocity cx~cur around doses of (a) 3.5 × 10 6 Mrad of 1 MeV electrons. (by 8.5 × 10 a Mrad of 10 MeV protons, and (c) 2.2 × 10 ' Mrad of 40 MeV alpha particles. The values of these critical doses for biotite mica are (a) 2.7× 105 Mrad of I MeV electrons, (by 8.2× 103 Mrad of 10 MeV protons, and (c) 1.6× 10 3 Mrad of 40 MeV alpha particles. It has been concluded that the contribution of delta rays alone is not sufficient to account for the etchable track formation in mica solid state nuclear track detectors.

The paper describes our work on a new type of plastic track detector known as CR-39. This new type of detector has been calibrated and the optimum operating conditions have been established for its use as a radon/thoron dosimeter. The results obtained so far strongly suggest that CR-39 is not only the most sensitive track detector existing today for the detection of alpha particles from radon and thoron, but that it also has some unique properties which make it an ideal track detector for radon/thoron measurements.

Recent advances in information technology have made it possible to store large amounts of data and have made document repossession more complex, therefore constituting the need for finding efficient data retrieval implementations. As the scopes and horizons for information technology began to establish new boundaries, long-standing data storage modules recognized the need to widen their scale. Traditional systems available for data retrieval amalgamated with newer methods resulting in several innovative algorithms. These systems, set to function according to their respective requirements and hardware demand, have allowed for effectual and prompt data retrieval.

The implementation of new innovations and novel tactics has proven to be effective in curbing the risk of COVID-19. The present study covers the role of smart technology in mitigating the spread of COVID-19 with specific focus on advancement in the field of drone, robotics, artificial intelligence (AI), mask, and sensor technology. The findings shed light on the robotics and drone technology-driven approaches that have been applied for assisting health system, surveillance, and disinfection process, etc. The AI technology strategies and framework is highlighted in terms of bulk data computing, predicting infection threats, providing medical assistance, and analyzing diagnosis results. Besides this, the technological shift in mask and sensor technology during the pandemic have been illustrated, which includes fabrication method like 3D printing and optical sensing, respectively. Furthermore, the strength, weakness, opportunities, and possible threats that have been shaped by the rigorous implementation of these technologies are also covered in detail.
