It also tries to understand the path of development of the physical education program in the country for professional centrally. The proposed educational objectives bring modification in behaviour one object to an outcome based physical education program. The paper is based on existing literature and practices of physical education.

The purpose of the study was to understand and to compare the socio economic status of between sp... more The purpose of the study was to understand and to compare the socio economic status of between sports high achievers of Mangalore University. The study tried to find out whether there is any significant difference in the socio economic status of All India inter university participants in track & field event and weight lifting. For this purpose researcher selected 25 sports person of track & field and 25 weight lifters who participated in All India Inter University level representing Mangalore University. Subjects were selected using Simple Random Sampling Method for this study. The research Scholar selected socio economic status Scale for the study. Questionnaire developed by National Psychological Corporation, Agra made by Rajbir Singh, Radhey Shyam and Satish Kumar. In this present study Arithmetic mean, standard deviation and t-test were used to compare the data. There were no much difference found in socio economic status of track & field athletes and weight lifters.

SC is said to plays critical role in athletes ‘success; in contrast, lack of SC seems to be closely associated with athletic failure. Thus, confidence is an important factor that distinguishes successful athletes from unsuccessful ones in terms of both their mental status as well as their performances.

The objective of the study was to find out whether there is any significant difference in the female football Players and female weight lifters participated in Intercollegiate Competition. For the purpose of this study 22 female football players and 22 female weight lifters were selected as a sample who participated in Intercollegiate Competition of Mangalore University. Subjects was selected using Simple Random Sampling Method for this study. The research Scholar selected sports specific personality test Scale for the study. The objective of the study was to find out whether there is any significant difference in the female Players of rural and urban area. For the purpose of this study total 270 female players from rural and urban are were selected as a sample who participated in Intercollegiate Competition of Mangalore University. Subjects was selected using Simple Random Sampling Method for this study. The research Scholar selected sports specific personality test Scale for the study. Proper SSPS 14.0 version is used for the analysis of data. Study found significance difference in some features. Study revealed significance difference in sports specific personality dimensions.
