Diagnostic taxonomic characters of pronotum and male genital capsule (pygophore) are illustrated. An identification key to the genera closely related to Quintius Stål, as well as a key to the known species of Neoquintius are included.

Knowledge of the insect fauna in the park is scarce and the Heteroptera have never been studied. In this work, 134 species from 17 families of Heteroptera collected in Moconá Provincial Park and surrounding areas included in the Yabotí Biosphere Reserve, are listed. The reduviids Arilus gallus (Stål, 1872), Repipta taurus (Fabricius, 1803), and Zelus nugax Stål, 1862; the tingids Leptodictya (Hanuala) paspalii Drake & Hambleton, 1934, and Leptopharsa vittipennis (Stål, 1873); the coreids Camptischium niger (Stål, 1870), Leptoglossus ingens (Mayr, 1865), Chariesterus cuspidatus Distant, 1892 and Cebrenis supina Brailovsky, 1995; the pentatomids Alveostethus pseudopolitus (Ruckes, 1957) and Dryptocephala integra Walker, 1867; and the blissid Xenoblissus lutzi Barber, 1954 are first records from Argentina.

New distribution records are provided for P. argentinus Berg, P. bipunctatus (Thunberg), P. laticornis, P. nervosus, P. pharaonis (Herbst) and P. tenuicornis Dallas. Pictures of habitus, antennae, male genital capsule and parameres are provided. A key to the known species is presented.

The relationships with P. dubius Herrich-Schaeffer, and P. schoutedeni van Reenen are discussed. To elucidate evolutionary morphology in Epipolops, a phylogenetic analysis was performed using 17 species and 36 adult morphological characters. Two cladograms were obtained under equal and implied weight analyses, showing slight differences between them. Two new species, E. stridulatus sp.n. and E. univallensis sp.n., are described, and E. meridionalis Pirán is resurrected from synonymy with E. frondosus Herrich-Schaeffer. A key to the known species of Epipolops is provided. The systematic relevance of the unique characters of the genus is discussed and the sequence of character state transformations for both the anterior and posterior lateral processes of the pronotum are optimized on the cladogram obtained under implied weights. Species of Epipolops are found in the Neotropical region and the Mexican Transition Zone, with some clades and species restricted to certain South American subregions. This published work has been registered in ZooBank, http://zoobank.org/urn:lsid:zoobank.org:pub:CB72D5DA-D86B-4B91-93A2-88894F7120C9.
