Internal communication is very significant to communicate change effectively in the large compani... more Internal communication is very significant to communicate change effectively in the large companies and support the employees' commitment to change as reported in this current study. Therefore, the study intends to fill the gaps in the relationship between Internal Communication and Employees' Commitment to Change. The research framework is a hypothetical deduction based on the Lewin's Three Step Model, which came out from the literature review that the Internal Communication influences the Employees' Commitment to Change. The study embarked on the quantitative survey that was sent out to the employees from the Malaysian large companies and the various sectors. The study used a stratified and simple random sampling to ensure the representatives from each identified clusters. The key findings showed that the clear information and leaders' effort to communicate change to their employees related heavily on the Employees' Commitment to Change. This study meets the objectives that successfully discovered that the Internal Communication influence the employees' commitment to change, and hope it could contribute to the body of knowledge, particularly contributed to the Strategic Management field. In terms of the practical implication, this study could assist both top management and employees to appreciate the environment for the commitment to change in order to meet the desirable results.

The PESTEL analysis is a strategic planning technique that provides a useful framework for analyzing the environmental pressures on rural people. The PESTEL aspects generating considerable interest in terms of the nature of it in a certain context of the study. There is limited knowledge of the holistic nature of PESTEL on the rural community and regional development in Malaysia. It is observed that there is limited support on certain PESTEL aspects that is important for some people based on different demographic profiles such as gender, age, income, occupation, etc. What people have and what aspects they want to have more. The outcomes of this study would contribute to the policymaker, such as the Ministry of Rural and Regional Development (MRRD), and raise the attention at the national as well as the international levels, particularly in the change management era in Malaysia and Indonesia. The quality management of the internal supply chain is the evergreen research theme in the Halal business process. The research methods utilized the case study approach and collect in-depth information on a single case study. The paper answers the relationship between internal supply chain quality management and the performance of a company. The themes emerged are in terms of the quality control and quality assurance, and technological advent of the internal supply chain. The relationships of the themes identified the business process management and operational excellence as crucial for meeting customers’ demand and expectations. The recommendations for increasing the company performance, besides the quality, are speed, efficiency, flexibility, and capacity.

The hard systems consist of technology, structure, and strategy, and soft systems include leadership, human resource, and culture. A survey of a sample of Malaysia’s manufacturing leading sector, E&E industry was conducted. Among the key findings, there was a positive relationship between organic structure, operations strategy, transformational leadership style and human resource practices on achievement of operational excellence. The results showed that organic structure and operations strategy have effect on the achievement of operational excellence. Conversely, the manufacturing technology has not effect on operational excellence of Malaysian E&E manufacturing companies in which the hypotheses was not supported. Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) significantly contribute to the country, especially in the Gr... more Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) significantly contribute to the country, especially in the Gross Domestic Product (GDP), employment and exports. However, with the challenging in external environment, SMEs must innovate in order to compete and survive in the business environment. The objective of this study is to identify the profile of SMEs and investigate the type of innovation that are predominant in the food and beverage manufacturing SMEs.Data were collected using questionnaires from a sample of 277 SMEs. The study found that the majority of Malaysian food and beverage manufacturing SMEs located in Selangor and the majority type of business is sole proprietorships.There are three types of innovation undertaken by SMEs such as product innovation, process innovation and marketing innovation.SMEs' get resources from their internal and external to undertake innovation in their companies.

Specflcally, in focusing of carbon emissions that meant organizations are motivated more than ever to monitor their sustainability environment. The imperative roles of carbon emissions into the area of Green IT where they believed in reductions of energy emissions can be made. Reviews of the literature(i.e.,DOI theory, TOE theory and technology adoption) and preliminary findings in manufacturing and services firms are presented. We classififirms into three main groups based on the earliness of green innovation adoption, namely adopters, prospectors, and laggards. Three groups of factors influencing adoption decisions are identiJied, including organizational, technology and environmental factors. Tnis paper accentuates the importance of adoption of Green IT, which can have a detrimental effect on business profitability and sustainability. Therefore, the results are interpreted and subsequently discussed. The paper is relevant to both researchers and business practitioners.

Despite growing academic and practical concerns about IT-transformed workplaces, little research ... more Despite growing academic and practical concerns about IT-transformed workplaces, little research empirically investigates these concerns. This paper adopts a unique approach to address these concerns by evaluating the appropriateness of traditional drivers of career salience in high IT working environments. Building on established measures of role stress, participation in decision making, job involvement and career salience, questionnaires were distributed to staff working in high IT organizations in Nigeria. Multiple regressions were run from a valid response of 223, resulting in the three traditional drivers accounting for 25% of the variance in career salience. Similarly, standardized ß coefficients indicate on job involvement (0.46) makes unique significant contribution to career salience. Specflcally, in focusing of carbon emissions that meant organizations are motivated more than ever to monitor their sustainability environment. The imperative roles of carbon emissions into the area of Green IT where they believed in reductions of energy emissions can be made. Reviews of the literature(i.e.,DOI theory, TOE theory and technology adoption) and preliminary findings in manufacturing and services firms are presented. We classififirms into three main groups based on the earliness of green innovation adoption, namely adopters, prospectors, and laggards. Three groups of factors influencing adoption decisions are identiJied, including organizational, technology and environmental factors. Tnis paper accentuates the importance of adoption of Green IT, which can have a detrimental effect on business profitability and sustainability. Therefore, the results are interpreted and subsequently discussed. The paper is relevant to both researchers and business practitioners.

This paper adopts a unique approach to address these concerns by evaluating the appropriateness of traditional drivers of career salience in high IT working environments. Building on established measures of role stress, participation in decision making, job involvement and career salience, questionnaires were distributed to staff working in high IT organizations in Nigeria. Multiple regressions were run from a valid response of 223, resulting in the three traditional drivers accounting for 25% of the variance in career salience. Similarly, standardized ß coefficients indicate on job involvement (0.46) makes unique significant contribution to career salience. The factors are teamwork and quality culture, quality management system and satisfactory rewards, effective change management, less bureaucratic and participative, information technology/information system, effective project management and adequate financial resources.Research limitations/implicationsThe paper provides a framework for future research to explore organisational development in making BPR happen successfully.Originality/valueThis research contributes to studies of BPR in HE context, by considering the soft issues in its implementation.
