As there is a paucity of research, we sought to determine the factors affecting the facility delivery, quantify wealth-related inequality, and find potential components that explain the inequality. Methods The current study made use of the most recent Bangladesh Demographic and Health Survey (BDHS 2017-18) data. We used logistic regression to examine the associated factors of facility delivery. To examine the inequality in-facility delivery, the concentration curves (CC), concentration index (CIX) and decomposition of CIX techniques were used. Results Women living in the urban area, age at first birth after (18–24 years ≥ 25 years), being Overweight/Obese, having secondary and higher-level education of the women and their husband, seeking four or more ANC, from more affluent households and women with high...

Extubation failure is frequently caused by diaphragm dysfunction. Ultrasonography can be used to determine the mobility and thickness of the diaphragm. This study looked at the role of diaphragm excursion (DE) and thickening fraction in predicting successful extubation from mechanical ventilation. Methods: Thirty-one patients were extubated with the advice of an ICU consultant using the ICU weaning regimen and diaphragm ultrasonography was performed. Ultrasound DE and thickening fraction were measured three times: at the commencement of the t-piece experiment, at 10 minutes, and immediately before extubation. All patients' parameters were monitored for 48 hours after extubation. Rapid shallow breathing index (RSBI) was also measured at the same time. Results: Successful extubation was significantly correlated with...

This study aims to validate a prototype Bangladeshi Hemodialysis Food Frequency Questionnaire (BDHD-FFQ) against 3-day dietary recall (3DDR) and corresponding serum biomarkers. Nutrients of interest were energy, macronutrients, potassium, phosphate, iron, sodium and calcium. The BDHD-FFQ, comprising 132 food items, was developed from 606 24-h recalls and had undergone face and content validation. Comprehensive facets of relative validity were ascertained using six statistical tests (correlation coefficient, percent difference, paired t-test, cross-quartiles classification, weighted kappa, and Bland-Altman analysis). Overall, the BDHD-FFQ showed acceptable to good correlations (p < 0.05) with 3DDR for the concerned nutrients in unadjusted and energy-adjusted models, but this correlation was diminished ...

Their problems not more worsen but this may lead misunderstanding about the training of BNCC. Our cadets are normally fit because when they get admitted in BNCC there was a criterion that they are medically fit or not. The major problems such as asthma, big birth defect, nasal and ear problems not allowed in BNCC. In camping they get excellent medical services so that they not fall serious problems. In BNCC camping cadets get always fresh food and water and moreover they take bathe regularly. After march past or exercise they take oral saline, so not shown any dehydration. Some simple injuries for wearing tight shoes and for crawling knee and elbow injury are common. All trainings are held in winter season so for cold weather their exercise not considered burden. Cadets sweating are very few so they get more energy in training. In noon they perform playing and every night the cultural show rehearsal runs. Mostly all cad...
Cellular organization, compartmentalization and cell-to-cell communication are crucially dependen... more Cellular organization, compartmentalization and cell-to-cell communication are crucially dependent on endosomal pathways. Sorting endosomes provide a transit point for various trafficking pathways and decide the fate of proteins: recycling, secretion or degradation. FERARI (Factors for Endosome Recycling and Rab Interactions) plays a key role in shaping these compartments and coordinates Rab GTPase function with membrane fusion and fission of vesicles through a kiss-and-run mechanism. Here we show that cargo concentration in sorting endosomes determines the length of the kiss between Rab11 and SNX1 structures, presumably by clogging the fusion stalk. Cargo flow from sorting endosomes into Rab11 structures relies on the cargo adaptor SNX6, while cargo retention in the Rab11 endosome is dependent on AP1. Similar to Rab11, Rab5 and Rab10 positive endosomes also interact with the SNX1 tubular network through FERARI-dependent kiss-and-run. We propose that FERARI, together with cargo adap...

The experiment consisted of two levels of AMF inoculation (AMF-inoculated and non-inoculated) and five levels of Zn fertilizer management. The Zn management regimes were NoZinc = no Zn fertilizer (control); Basal100 = 100% recommended dose (RD) of Zn fertilizer (i.e. 15 kg ZnSO 4 .7H 2 O ha −1) added during final land preparation; Foliar100@EV = 100% RD of Zn was applied as foliar spray during early vegetative (EV) stage; Folar100@Rp = 100% RD of Zn was applied as foliar spray during reproductive (Rp) stage; Foliar@50EV+50Rp = 100% RD of Zn fertilizer was applied as foliar spray by equal split during EV and Rp stages. ZnSO 4 .7H 2 O @15 kg ha −1 was used for basal application and 0.1% of the same fertilizer was used as foliar spray. The experiment was laid out a factorial randomized complete block design (RCBD) with 3 replications. 'Serakinkon', a commercially available AMF inoculum collected from Japan was used in the experiment. The inoculum mainly consisted of Gigaspora margarita species of AMF. It was found that both AMF inoculation and Zn fertilizer management significantly affected leaf greenness (SPAD value), number of cobs plant −1 , number of seeds cob −1 , weight of 1000 grains, and grain yield (all p<0.05). The highest maize grain yield was obtained from the AMF inoculated plots when Zn was foliar applied during both early vegetative and reproductive stages (50%EV + 50% Rp) or foliar applied (100% RD) during reproductive stage. It appeared that only AMF inoculation boosted 15% maize yield in comparison to non-inoculated crops. Zn fertilizer management increased 16% grain yield over control (no Zn applied). Further research should be conducted on the screening of naturally occurring AMF strain suitable for maize crop.

Materials and methods: A total of 1,350 commercial cockerels (ISA Brown) were indiscriminately distributed to 3 treatment groups, each having three replications of 150-day-old chicks based on completely randomized design. The basal diet was treated as the control, while the experimental groups receiving Enrofloxacin 1 gm/kg and Protexin 1 gm/kg feed were considered as antibiotic and probiotic groups, respectively. Bodyweight, feed intake (FI), feed conversion ratio (FCR), and other relevant characteristics were recorded weekly until 49 days of trial. In the end, similar number (10) of birds from each replicate group were slaughtered to determine the carcass characteristics. Results: Significantly, better results were found in the overall growth performances of the cockerels in the probiotic-fed treatment group. Highly significant differences were also found in live bodyweight, weight gain, daily gain, FI, FCR, survivability, dressing percentage, abdominal fat, breast meat, drumstick, and thigh weight in the probiotic-fed treatment group compared to the others. Conclusion: The results of the present study indicate that the inclusion of dietary probiotics has a superior performance to antibiotics and may have the potentiality to be used as an alternative growth enhancer in the diet of cockerels.
