Hypertension is chronic elevated arterial systolic blood pressure > 140 mmHg, and diastolic blood pressure > 90 mmHg. Epidemiological indicate studies that elevated blood pressure leads to strike, heart coronary disease, congestive failure heart and end stage of renal disease. There are two types of hypertension; primary (essential) of cause unknown which includes more than 95% of all cases of hypertension, and secondary hypertension which is due to underlying disorder it accounts less than 5% of hypertensive cases. Response to moderate exercise protocol in hypertensive patients. To study the effect of exercise on systolic, diastolic, and lipid profile elements in treated and untreated hypertensive patients. The study was conducted in Marjan medical city in Hilla from April to September 2015. The random sample of 30 patients of hypertension including 16 males and 14 females, their ages ...

Research paper thumbnail of Loss of heterozygosity in sporadic human breast carcinoma: a common region between 11q22 and 11q23.3

Cancer research, 1994

In the case of chromosome 11, loss of heterozygosity (LOH) at loci on the short arm has been well documented and suggests the presence of a suppressor gene(s) at 11p15.5. However, the evidence for similar events on the long arm is less compelling. Here, we determined the prevalence of LOH for chromosome 11q in 44 malignant and 3 benign cases of unselected sporadic breast tumor samples. We found that alteration of chromosome 11q is common in the pathogenesis of breast cancer as 19 of 44 (43%) malignant tumor specimens exhibited LOH. Eleven (58%) of these genetic alterations were specific to the long arm of the chromosome. The smallest region of shared LOH places the target between 11q22 and 11q23.3, the same general region frequently altered in cancers of the ovary, colon, skin, and uterine cervix, perhaps indicating the location of a tumor suppressor gen...

We mainly propose an efficient genetic algorithm based on a permutation coding. The performances of the proposed algorithm have been compared to an existing greedy search method and to an exact formulation based on a basic integer linear programming. The obtained results confirm the efficiency of the proposed method and its ability to improve the initial solutions of the considered problem.

For empirical investigation, instrument was adapted and distributed among 200 employees of green organizations. Convenient and snow ball sampling techniques were employed for data collection. This study elucidates that employees recruited on the basis of their environmental cognizance achieve higher grades of satisfaction when they are more involved in decisions and day to day operations. Moreover, this research proposes that organizations who want to increase their employee performance should put emphasis on training as it motivates them to achieve higher performance levels. This research project will help managers to improve organizational performance and achieve the targeted goals. The limitation faced in this study was lack of information and awareness about the topic and restricted number of firms was applying GHRM in its operations.

Helicobacter pylori colonization with has been recognized as an important risk factor for a gastroduodenal disease accordingly, collected from 40 adult patients, 23 men and 17women, whose age range from 13 to 72 years suffer from dyspeptic symptoms. Referred to the OGD (esophago gastroduodenal scope) Unit at Al-Zahraa Teaching Hospital in Wasit province upper endoscopy for the period from November 2016 to February 2017. According to endoscopic diagnosis, the patients were grouped into gastritis, inflammation of the duodenum, stomach ulcers. Results of analysis of biopsy samples (in size 300mg) by polymerase chain reaction (RT PCR) as invasive ...

This study aims to investigate bacterial blood stream infection in Coronavirus disease 2019 using 16S rRNA sequencing methods. Materials and Methods: Two ml leftover blood samples from 50 patients with laboratory confirmed RT-PCR positive for Coronavirus disease 2019, who got admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU) in Quarantine Center in Baghdad, Iraqi were enrolled in this clinical case series study. Results: The total of 13 positive sample PCR products were sequenced. The sequencing-based identification of these isolates included: Serratia marcescens,Achromobacterxylosoxidans, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Acinetobacter baumannii and Staphylococcus aureus. Conclusion:The significance of considering bacterial blood infection in Coronavirus disease 2019 patients...
