Internet blog can be utilized to assist learning in the classroom. The effectiveness of blog in l... more Internet blog can be utilized to assist learning in the classroom. The effectiveness of blog in learning was studied through a class room action research by using Jig Saw learning model. The results show that teachers' use of blogs in guiding the work of students in observing human sense through a model of Jig Saw can raise the average value of the working group from 68 to 83 (21% increase). Blog also helps the group work of below average students, indicated by the value of Q1 which is increased from 61 to 80 (31%). Individual use of sense learning material in blog also helps students understand the learning concepts, process skills, and apply them in everyday life, especially in keeping the senses healthy. The results of individual evaluation showed an increase from 68 to 81.

This study aims to observe the role of blogs as interactive media to improve student learning outcomes. The research used a quasi-experimental method, the independent variable is the use of the teacher's blog and the dependent variable is student learning outcomes. The role of Teacher’s blog is observed on the material of object classification and temperature change. The subjects of this study were students of class VII A and VII E of Xaverius I Middle School in Jambi City. Quantitative data derived from the value of worksheets and written tests after one basic competency cycle is implemented. Data were processed with simple statistics, namely calculating the average value of two basic competencies. The results of learningmaterials proportion analysis based curriculum: tissues: organs: totipotensi was 40%: 40%: 20%. Theresults of need analysis of science process skills indicated that students are lack of ability in terms ofgrouping and concluding skill. The analysis also reveals that students need multimedia, which isinteresting and aesthetics. In the design phase, developers create a storyboard based on the results of theanalysis. In development stage, we input all information in storyboard to the media. According to mediaexperts, the product is scored well and very well. Trials phase is conducted in a small groups and largegroups.
