This is a report of efforts to change the attitudes of the people of Nepal with regard to family ... more This is a report of efforts to change the attitudes of the people of Nepal with regard to family planning. Between 1961-71 the Education and Information Section of the Family Planning and Maternal and Child Health Project was involved in enlarging and training its staff. In addition research was done evaluating awareness of population problems radio listening habits and college student awareness. The 1st of 3 programs in population education was aimed at politicians and opinion makers to stimulate population policy coordinate all agencies of government and promote legislation to lower fertility; it was desired to create an atmostphere favorable to family planning acceptance. Some techniques were seminars films and personal contacts. The 2nd program is population education for parents to try to stimulate family planning acceptance and to make them regular users through further education and follow-up care. In this paper, we define a new Kantorovich-type (p,q)-generalization of the Balázs–Szabados opera... more In this paper, we define a new Kantorovich-type (p,q)-generalization of the Balázs–Szabados operators. We derive a recurrence formula, and with the help of this formula, we give explicit formulas for the first and second-order moments, which follow a symmetric pattern. We estimate the second and fourth-order central moments. We examine the local approximation properties in terms of modulus of continuity, we give a Voronovskaja type theorem, and we give the weighted approximation properties of the operators.

Moments up to the fourth order are calculated, and second order and fourth order central moments are estimated. Local approximation properties of the operators are examined and a Voronovskaja type theorem is given.
