This paper presents an electronic system for tracking students' attendance. "BeHere" was implemen... more This paper presents an electronic system for tracking students' attendance. "BeHere" was implemented at Subotica Tech-College of Applied Sciences, introducing gamification elements into class attendance tracking. Given that the first year of their studies in higher education is the most crucial time period, it is vital that students are motivated to attend classes regularly. Class attendance is frequently seen as the prime marker of students' persistence: lower attendance indicates a higher risk of dropout. The gamification module of the system is used to improve student engagement, motivation, attendance, and academic performance. Based on the research results, it is evident that the tested gamification module motivated students to attend classes more regularly during the 2018/19 school year as compared with the previous year.

Kutatásunk során ennek az innovatív oktatási módnak a módszertani lehetőségeit vizsgáljuk egyetemi hallgatók körében. A kutatásunk fő kérdése az, hogyan valósítható meg a kollaboratív problémamegoldó kompetencia mérése a szabadulószoba által, illetve mi jellemzi a szabadkai (Szerbia) Magyar Tannyelvű Tanítóképző Kar hallgatóinak kollaboratív problémamegoldó kompetenciáját. Tanulmányunkban a szakirodalmi ismereteket felhasználva, az oktatási célú szabadulószobák módszertani lehetőségeit ismertetjük. Munkánk során egy saját fejlesztésű, oktatási szabadidős szabadulószoba-játék bemutatását is vázoljuk.

Today, we need different skills than in the 20th century, and educational institutions have a key role to play in developing skills. Unfortunately, schools are unable to keep pace with the development of skills that are essential elements of student success. Educators around the world are becoming increasingly aware of the importance of soft skills and play a huge role in ensuring that students are properly prepared for the world of university and work. The objective of the game is to escape from a physical room or find a hidden object. A game created for pedagogical purposes is usually called an educational escape room. It is based on Gamification and Game-based Learning. Its main advantage is the increase of students' engagement and motivation for mastering the curriculum. In addition, the development of soft skills also plays an extremely important role during the game. The aim of this research is to identify problems in the employers’ circle when it comes to hiring fresh graduates. The educational system is critical to information about the needs of employers in order to adapt educational programs to the needs of the labor market, to formulate learning outcomes in education programs and define occupational standards. The focus is on key competencies of candidates that are indispensable in today’s labor market. The paper will show: what are the expectations of companies that actively seek workers? What are the priority competencies? Is there a scale of expected competencies? We want to find out how participants in the labor market are thinking about cooperation with educational institutions and which concrete ways of cooperation are considered effective in terms of training.
