This journal discusses the theme of HR performance appraisal in encouraging the company's superio... more This journal discusses the theme of HR performance appraisal in encouraging the company's superior performance. The case study was conducted at LSAGI, which is one of the companies engaged in the cable industry. In making the journal a review of the existing literature was also carried out to uncover three main issues that were ignored: 1) defining and measuring intellectual and human capital, 2) analysis of human capital-the relationship between firm performance; and 3) human resource management. More and more studies have attempted to demonstrate the relationship between human resources and firm performance.

Lingkungan bisnis saat ini terus mengalami banyak perubahan, banyak di antaranya tidak dapat diprediksi dan tidak dapat diprediksi sebelumnya. Perubahan tersebut adalah perubahan paradigma, aturan atau pengaturan baru yang membawa ruang lingkup baru, aturan baru, dan aturan perilaku baru. Karena aturan main telah berubah, begitu juga hal-hal, dan pihak yang ingin tetap sukses harus beradaptasi dengan lingkungan yang berubah. Misalnya, pola yang diterapkan di Era Industri telah menjadi usang dan digantikan oleh pola yang diterapkan di Era Informasi. Pasar yang stabil adalah sesuatu dari masa lalu, dan hari ini ada pasar yang terus berubah.

The function of managing human resources in organizations has evolved. The adaptability of the hu... more The function of managing human resources in organizations has evolved. The adaptability of the human resource management function in the organization is important, so that it is agile in responding to the demands of the times and able to contribute strategically to the performance and competitive advantage of the organization in a sustainable manner. In the digital age, technology-based HR transformation is needed to meet the needs of that era. To carry out technology-based HR transformation, the transformation of competency mastery of HR professionals is needed. Various theoretical studies and existing empirical research have not revealed clearly what kind of role is important to be carried out by the organization's human resources function in the digital age. Therefore, this research was conducted to answer these problems with the literature study method. It is expected that the results of the study can make practical and theoretical contributions to enrich the field of human resource management studies, especially related to the role of the organization's human resource management functions that are appropriate in the digital age. (Junita, 2021) Digital transformation is the transformation of business processes, operations and structures in order to exploit the benefits of new technology. In the search for competitive advantage that may be brought about by digital transformation strategy researchers increasingly acknowledge human capital, intellectual capital and knowledge as critical components. A resource based view is adopted whereby a company's resources (technology and human capital) are perceived as assets and competencies owned or controlled by the firm that generate value for the business in achieving competitive advantage. The research methodology is a qualitative methodology using semi-structured interviews with five HR (human resources) professionals in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The semi-structured interviews address the areas of HR planning, reward management, performance management, training and development, health and safety and employee relations, and their change in an era of digital transformation. Results are analysed using thematic analysis of the main themes and sub-themes. The main findings are that whilst digitalization impacts day-today HR practices and procedures particularly with the use of human resources information systems there is less emphasis on the role of HR in contributing to the strategy of digitalization.

The pandemic condition forced companies to maintain or restore their business in order to stay in... more The pandemic condition forced companies to maintain or restore their business in order to stay in the industry. These companies have taken many paths, among others, by changing the work process to digital, working from home and changing consumer behavior. This requires companies to be able to manage their human resources appropriately and efficiently. This paper is a review of some literature taken from various sources such as journals, e-books or e-magazines as references. From the results of the literature study, it shows that there are six steps that can be used as references in managing the transformation of human resources during the COVID-19 pandemic, including HR design planning in accordance with company goals; the employer's company branding strategy; recruitment process taking into account the digital footprint; company talent development; maintain employee loyalty; and transition or arrange for the transfer of work plans from employees who will be dismissed to those who are still working. The direction for the following researchers is to delve deeper into the variability of human resources during the pandemic so that they can combine the technical and social components for a more thorough discussion.
