This growing population is causing numerous social and environmental problems. By the increase in population, energy demand is increasing day by day. Pakistan, where majority of the population is living in rural areas is using uncleaned cooking fuel due to which CO2 emission is increasing that is further a cause of environmental degradation. Based on the data (for the period from 1980 to 2019) of World Development Indicators, this study intends to examine the association between urban population, and energy use with CO2 emission. Unit root test was applied to check stationarity of data and after checking the stationarity status of variables, ARDL (Auto regressive distributive lag model) techniques was applied on data. The outcomes of the study showed that trade openness, urbanization, and energy consumption have significant and positive effects on environmental degradation. Availability of large amount of literature across different domains trigger the need for optimized systems which provide relevant literature to researchers. We propose a search system based on keywords for text documents. This experimental approach provides a hierarchical structure to the document corpus. The documents are labelled with keywords using KEA (Keyword Extraction Algorithm) and are automatically organized in a lattice structure using Formal Concept Analysis (FCA). This groups the semantically related documents together. The hierarchical structure, based on keywords gives out only those documents which precisely contain them. This approach open doors for multi-domain research. The documents across multiple domains which are indexed by similar keywords are grouped together. A hierarchical relationship between keywords is obtained. To signify the effectiveness of the approach, we have carried out the experiment on Semeval-2010 Dataset. Results depict that the presented method is considerably successful in indexing of scientific papers.

This is useful at various platforms like: reading and comprehending reviews of a product or the actual meaning of posts on social media. In that context, we try to find out the meaning of a word with respect to the sentence in which it is used. The conventional approach rests on the assumption that each word conveys a single meaning to the sentence but this is not always true. In such approaches the presence of puns goes undetected which can give erroneous results. Pun is a form of wordplay that exploits multiple meanings of a word or of similar sounding words[13]. Pun is deliberately used to produce intended humorous or rhetorical effect. Equivoque is designed to successfully detect the presence or absence of a pun word in a sentence and to locate as well as interpret its multiple meanings. This paper provides detailed approach in this direction.

Research paper thumbnail of Topic Modelling with Fuzzy Document Representation

Communications in Computer and Information Science, 2019

Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA) and its variant topic models have been widely used for performi... more Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA) and its variant topic models have been widely used for performing text mining tasks. Topic models sometimes produce incoherent topics having noisy words with high probabilities. The reason is that topic model suffers from binary weighting of terms, sparsity and lack of semantic information. In this work, a fuzzy document representation is used within the framework of topic modeling that resolves these problems. Fuzzy document representation uses the concept of Fuzzy Bag of Word (FBoW) that maps each document to a fixed length fuzzy vector of basis terms. Each basis term in the fuzzy vector belongs to all documents in the dataset with some membership degree. Latent Dirichlet Allocation is tailored to use fuzzy document representation and results are compared with regular LDA and term weighted LDA over short and long text documents on document clustering and topic quality tasks. LDA with fuzzy representation generates more coherent topics than other two methods. It also outperforms the other methods on document clustering for short documents and produces comparable results with term weighted LDA for long documents.

SNA has gained a recent importance due to the appearance of various web 2.0 platforms like blogs, wikis, content and media sharing sites which consists of a huge collection of data. These data are vast, noisy, unstructured and dynamic in nature, so mining is performed on such data by various SNA methods and tools in order to extract actionable patterns which are useful for business, consumers, and users. This study is a part of the growing body of research on Social Network Analysis and uncovers hidden relationships in a facebook network. It gives a prospective view of the hidden attributes of the high degree nodes (users having greater number of friends) in the Facebook network. Results show that there is little association among high degree nodes.

This study was aimed at investigation of high performance liquid chromatographic (HPLC) analysis and antihyperlipidemic effect of hydroalcoholic extract of seeds of the plant Cucumis sativus L in Wistar albino rats. The rats were divided into groups A, B, C and D. All the groups except group A were administered with diet having high cholesterol and given intraperitoneal injection of Triton X-100 to induce hyperlipidaemia. Group A served as normal. Group B served as hyperlipidemic control. Group C (standard) and D (plant treated) were administered with simvastatin (10 mg/kg) and hydroalcoholic extract of the plant (400 mg/kg) respectively daily for 7 days after one week of inducing hyperlipidemia. The biochemical parameters of all the groups were estimated after one week of administration of plant extract using kits of Roche Cobas C111 chemistry analyzer. Histological stu...

The microwave assisted method has a better operational scope with respect to time and yield comparative to the conventional method. 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR and IR techniques were employed to justify the structure of synthesized compounds. The antioxidant, butyrylcholinesterase inhibition and urease inhibition potential of every synthesized compound was evaluated. Every member of the synthesized series was found potent against mentioned activities. Compound 7g was the most active anti-urease agent having IC50 (μM) value 16.5±0.09 even better than the thiourea with an IC50(μM) value of 24.3±0.24. The better urease inhibition potential of 7g was also elaborated and explained by docking and bovine serum albumin (BSA) binding studies.

This article aimed at the comparative analysis of extraction methods and nutritional benefits of milk and dairy products. Proteins form the body mass and perform several crucial tasks that include acting as a catalyst and carrying out different metabolic reactions in the body. Furthermore, protein acts as a transporter, transmits nerve impulses, provides mechanical support or immune protection, and controls growth. Several sources of proteins are present, but milk holds an important place due to its biological activities. The considerable health benefits of milk and its products are due to proteins. Yoghurt and cheese have significant importance among milk products. Proteins of milk and its products can be extracted by pH adjustment through homogenisation, centrifugation, and deproteinisation. There are several techniques for identifying and quantifying milk and product proteins. The Kjeldahl and spectrophoto...
