In order to maximize the efficiency, a new relationship is presented for determining the stator reactive power reference value, with considering core loss into account. In addition, a new control scheme is proposed which is based on model reference adaptive and controls the active and reactive powers. Since the suggested controller has proportional-integral and derivative controllers, selecting proper coefficient for them is of high importance. Hence, the Krill-Herd optimization algorithm is used to optimize the controller' coefficients. The simulation results show the satisfactory performance of the proposed control scheme with high dynamics and low ripple. In addition, since maximizing the efficiency does not seek any additional cost, so the use of the proposed method makes wind power generation more cost effective.

The required information was collected from scientific resources. The input and output data was collected from the statistical yearbook of the Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization and the official website of each of the foreign ports. Firstly, in this study the relative efficiency of the ports was evaluated via a basic model of the DEA-technique, namely BCC-O. Afterwards, the ports were ranked based on the achieved results. To rank ports with 100% efficiency, the Anderson-Peterson method was used. Based on the results of the output-oriented CCR model that represents the overall technical efficiency, the port of Khorafkan has the highest coefficient of efficiency and Bandar-e-Imam Khomeini was the weakest port in this respect. The average efficiency of the studied ports was 54.3% in the period under study. Finally, virtual ports were proposed as a ...

In this regards, this article is aimed to calculate the optimum hedging ratio for the ship fuel in terms of minimum risk. Methodology: To account for the non-constant structure of return VAR-CCC model is applied. After the estimation, the spillover and conditional structure of the variances can be analyzed. These spillovers will be important in the risk calculation of any optional basket consisting two mentioned energy carriers. In the next step, Optimization process is performed by using the Lagrangian multiplier technique. The data are obtained from Bloomberg daily closing price of energy carriers for the spanning 10 years which started from January 2010 and ends to February 2019. Findings: Results suggested that almost all of parameters were significant at 5% and was in line with the previous findings. Conclusion:. The risk of ship fuel price fluctuations would be minimize if they hedge 34% of their Ship fuel with holding crude oil future contract.

In this study, the actual loading and discharging statistics data related to the port used previously as validated databases. A linear regression method used for calculating and final analysis in order to analyze the data and obtain the results by using the econometric method. The overall results of this study indicate that in the first model-independent variables of a technical defect of ship equipment, delay in separation, and displacement of cooling equipment affect the dependent rate of loading variable and this effect is indirect. In the second model, independent quarantine variables, technical defects of ship equipment, and the displacement of the cooling equipment influenced by the rate of unloading the dependent variable and these effects are indirect.

The research data were collected from scientific resources and input and output data from statistical yearbook of the Iranian ports, maritime organization and formal website of each foreignport. Initially, the relative efficiency of ports was evaluated via two basic model of DEA-technique namely CCR-O and BCC-O and the ports were ranked accordingly using the 100% efficiency Anderson-peterson method. Based on the results of output- oriented CCR modelthatrepresents overall technical efficiency, Khorfakkan Port showed the highest and Bandar ImamKhomeini the lowest coefficient of efficiency during the given period. Based on the results of output- oriented BCC modelthatrepresents pure technical efficiency, Bushehr, Jebel Ali, KhorfakkanandAlexandria were found to have the highestandBandar ImamKhomeini the lowest coefficient of efficiency. It was constructed into two phases. In the first phase, analyzing the abtained data from the research questioner and using One Sample T Test, the status of studied ports regarding the required infrastructure for knowledge management implementation (information technology, organizational culture, organizational structure, human resources and management change) was investigated, and the research hypotheses were tested. The obtained results from the first phase indicated that the surveyed ports are not well arranged for the required infrastructure for knowledge management implementation. In second phase, by using grey relational analysis each port is ranked based on those five criteria. Finally, according to grey relational coefficient ...

This article addresses the issue of deploying BSC as an accepted management tool for measuring competitive advantage of ports users with a focus on container terminals. Use of balanced scorecard helps port and terminal managers to understand better strategic vision as well as their own contribution to implementation of strategic goals. The BSC can be used by the companies which are responsible for handling container terminals operation in order to achieve value, controlling core competencies, satisfying the terminal's users or customers and offering bonus to the terminal's shareholders.

For the purpose of assessing the outcome of port operational management, the Balanced Scorecard System is recommended for development of the Iranian South Ports and further consideration. Balanced Scorecard system is known as the most effective tool that successfully communicates strategic goals of the company with its operational management. Balanced Scorecard visualizes company strategy and links it to operational level. The main part of this paper is dedicated to evaluate the role of container transit from the North South transport corridor with a focus on the Iran North South transport corridor in order to improve Maritime Transport of Iran and increase the Iranian transit mar...

This study has been performed at two stages. Firstly, Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats of Khorramshahr port for empty container management were identified by aid of managers at khorramshahr port and it’s container terminal as well as, the manager of Khorramshahr agency of shipping container company “Hoopad Darya” .Secondly, possible strategies for managing empty containers att Khorramshahr port were prioritized by employing Delphi technique and QSPM approach. The results of research indicates the priority of shipping lines and port strategies as following: 1.Completing “Shalamcheh dry port” and private yards for shipping lines outside and around khorramshahr port. 2. Land transportation of empty container to Imam khomayni port and loading them on larger ships in ...

The impact of human errors on collisions and grounding of ocean going vessels have been taking place due to human or team errors, which need to be analyzed by various maritime casualties in depth. The first section of this article is devoted to investigating the role of Human Resource Management, Crew Resource Management and Maritime Crew Resource Management; it is because of minimizing ship accidents at sea. The next part of this paper is designated to evaluate the Bridge Resource Management, Bridge Team Management and Human factors in depth. It should be noted that the necessary techniques in bridge team management should be clarified based on the consideration of the issues relating to why the bridge team management is arranged. In the other hand, the lack of alignment of organization elements towards the organizational strategy leads to poor execution. When the different departments of the organization have different strategies that are different directions and implementations, the whole organizational purposes and visions rarely could archive.
