This includes the possibility of reaching high professional positions, their presence in public spaces, and entertaining guests in the absence of their husbands. Although there are some studies on the status of Kurdish women in different individual Kurdish regions throughout the Middle East, not many reviews have compared the four parts of Kurdistan simultaneously, and there are hardly any specific analyses dealing with Kurdish women's interactions in public spaces. This review aims to investigate the status of women in Kurdish society in different Kurdish regions according to a comparative approach. Although the path of Kurdish female emancipation was initiated first in the region of Rojhalat in 1946 and the Kurdish region of Iraq was granted some opportunities toward national liberation in 1991, the Bakur in Turkey can be considered a successful movement, establishing a sustained approach to the liberation of Kurdish women from patriarchal structures. During the Rojava Revolution in northern Syria, this movement proved itself able to build an indigenous alternative to Western-type egalitarian societies.

In the last Studies, Researchers have not Codified the effect of urban form on heat islands in the form of a comprehensive model. It is necessary to examine each urban context according to its own conditions. Accordingly, this study aims to identify the effect of building form variability on reducing the intensity of heat islands in Ferdous context of Tabriz in the form of comprehensive modelling as a new task. The research gap is the effect of the form of buildings on the intensity of UHI, and the question will be asked whether it is possible to control the intensity of UHI by changing the form by influencing the climatic indicators. Our conceptual framework was based on urban form typologies in microscale affect the amount of energy intake and consumption, especially the intensity of heat islands, and whether the use of desirable types can be responsive to reducing the intensity of these islands? In this regard, using a quantitative analysis method in Rhinoceros software, especially using Grasshopper plugins, urban form is investigated. This analysis includes both the coldest and hottest days of the year. The results show that the optimal model is the cross typology.

Locating a suitable place to dispose the municipal solid wastes hygienically (sanitary landfill) ... more Locating a suitable place to dispose the municipal solid wastes hygienically (sanitary landfill) is one of the fundamental subjects relating the environmental stability of cities and, in general, the human settlements. This final stage of solid waste management requires observance of a series of principles and criteria mainly including environmental, social, economical, and general acceptance criteria. The set of these criteria along with their sub-criteria causes some complexities in decision making for landfill site selection. Considering effective parameters and criteria, we developed an integrated fuzzy logic and analytic network process (i.e. F-ANP) to locate a suitable location for landfilling municipal solid wastes generated in Kahak Town, Qom, Iran. Our findings revealed that integration of fuzzy logic and ANP can give better idea compared with other models like AHP, fuzzy logic, and ANP (individually). Therefore, this model can be applied in site selection for landfill of other similar places.

In this regard, university campuses with various activities and departments have a great impact on the environment. Ecological Footprint Analysis (EFA) is a natural resource depletion assessment tool, with a high level of accuracy, that measures the impact of human activities on the environment. Considering the Ecological Footprint (EF) capabilities, this study developed a method to assess the environmental impacts of a university campus using component-based parameters. The goals of the study are to explore the effective components of EF and to propose some policy guidelines to diminish the human impacts on the environment on university campuses. Five components, including natural gas and electricity consumption, water and food usage, and waste production, were measured in a survey from 2013 to 2016 at the building scale. The mean EF of the campus was 16,484 global hectares (...

Hence new movements such as TransitOriented Development (TOD) with emphasis on compact development, peoplefriendly and livable neighborhoods introduced as useful tool for reducing use of car. Wisely use of land around transit stations is one of best solutions to achieve objectives of this approache. According to distribution of urban uses, land use pattern has high influence on travel behavior of people. In fact the land use pattern by its different characteristics determines travel behavior of people. About this, Todd Litman introduces some factors sush as land use mixture, density and etc. as effective factors

Considering this, as well as women’s social life, their struggle against lingering forces of patriarchy, and relating features of inequality (domestic violence), there was a feminist installation artwork by the young Kurdish artist Tara Abdulla that shook the city of Sulaimani in Iraqi Kurdistan on 26 October 2020. She had prepared a 4,800‐meter‐long washing line covered with the clothes of 99,678 Kurdish women who were survivors of sexual and gender‐based violence. They installed it along the busiest street of the city (Salim Street). She used this piece of feminine to express her reaction to the Kurdish society regarding, the abuse that goes on silently, behind closed doors. She also aimed towards normalizing women’s bodies. After the installation, she received many controversial reactions. As her artwork was a pioneering project in line with fe...

Jung considered religion as one of the most important archetypes of the collective subconscious mind and believed that the archetypes are primarily the result of human generations’ experiences, created like the human instinctive adaptations and affect human behavior and perceptions. Therefore, psychological adaptations, like physical adaptations, are influenced by the environment and different environments will lead to different adaptations. Religion as a mental adaptation has three main components of fear, hope and loving God. The environment plays an important role in the effectiveness and superiority of each of these components over man's relationship with God; however, how understanding religion, which results from diverse environmental characteristics, is reflected in the religious uses and urban spaces. To investigate this question, the historical context ...

Many such sites are in a danger of losing their historical character if relevant measures are not put in place to ensure the continuity of this character. This paper is concerned with the character of place in historical site of Sanandaj considering two main factors of physical substance and pattern of material which were recognized as basic aspects contributing to the character of place (Kropf, 1996). The paper also proposes the SWOT analysis as an effective framework for identifying and assessing the qualities of place to derive an appropriate decision-making in conservation plan of historic site. The outcome of the case study is that the historical site of Sanandaj has the potential for natural and cultural resource-management plans, but this has not been explored as of yet.
