Few studies have examined the impact of caregiving on leisure for professional caregivers. Most professional family caregivers in Taiwan, working alone at the employers' home, are from Indonesia. The present study explored the work and leisure of Indonesian paid live-in family caregivers. A time budget approach was employed to collect data during May 2010. Forty female caregivers participated, resulting in 13,873 diary events divided into three categories: committed activities; obligatory activities; and discretionary time activities. The results revealed that the respondents: (1) worked extremely long hours, lacked leisure and felt lonely and tired; but (2) were nevertheless able to experience leisure during their work, obligatory and discretionary time. The line between work and leisure was blurred, and respondents' lives in Taiwan revealed a complex picture of leisure and caregiving. For the female professional caregivers in the present study, leisure must be understood within the context of caregiving and family obligations. Research implications are discussed, recommendations to policymakers and employers are offered and directions for future research are canvassed.

It is hypothesized that with the introduction of crowding and encounter questions between two general satisfaction measures, the second measure will be significantly lower than the first measure. Samples were taken on 35 randomly chosen days, deriving 2402 usable questionnaires. The following results were obtained. The level of satisfaction as assessed using the second measure was significantly lower than that using the first measure. Some 60 % of respondents did not express different levels of satisfaction in the two measures, while 7 % expressed increased satisfaction on the second measure, and 33 % expressed decreased satisfaction. The education level of those whose answers regarding satisfaction remained unchanged was significantly higher than that of the subjects whose answers changed. Furthermore, a high degree of crowding may influence the second satisfaction measur...

The main findings support the positive impact of disposal income on tax evasion, while unemployment rate has a negative impact. Among the interest rate effect models, if policy-makers want to hinder the extension of tax evasion, they should reduce the interest rate. Furthermore, government not only applies fiscal policy but also applies monetary policy for improving tax evasion. In our regional effect model, we have found evidence on a positive impact of the demographic structure variables on tax evasion except social expenditure of local government. We have also found clear evidence on the positive impact in South and East areas on tax evasion in the regional effect model. Moreover, both interest rate a...

This overlap leads to vertical fiscal externalities that arise when several different commodities are in the tax base and the tax bases of the two levels of government may not be identical. In the unified government's case, if it is supposed that the marginal utilities of income for the two states are the same, the tax policy in state i not only considers the price elasticity and cross elasticity of each state, but also the shares of expenditure on commodities x 1 and x 2 in the different states. When the cross elasticity is zero, the tax rates on the same commodity sold in the different states and the price elasticity should be inversely related. If the cross elasticity of the commodities is zero, the higher the marginal utility of income of state i, the lower should be the tax rate set by the unified government in state i.

Many of these protected areas will rely on tourism and visitation for at least part of the funding needed for the effective management also called for in Target 11. Managing tourism and visitation requires a number of needed competencies that provide frameworks for leadership. These competencies involve strategic thinking, planning and operational domains. Given that tertiary education is unlikely to provide in the short term the kind of educational background needed, developing continuing education programmes and communities of practice can help fill this need. need for management. During the 2003 World Parks Conference sessions on capacity building, little mention was made of the need for capabilities to manage tourism despite the fact that tourism exists in many areas. Some managers hold that that the role of protected areas to preserve natural heritage relegates tourism to a minor use. Others are more accepting (Luo & Lawson, 2011). Within this context, managing protected areas for tourism and visitation in a way that minimizes their negative impacts on biodiversity, enhances support for management, provides visitors with opportunities to learn about the role of biodiversity in human life and provides local residents with opportunities to improve their livelihoods is imperative. Many of the world's 157,000 protected areas now listed in the World Database on Protected Areas (World Conservation Monitoring Centre, 2012) have some potential for tourism development. Tourism management must be viewed as an integrated component in the stewardship of these areas. The current need is large because many managers have little background in tourism and visitation and see a

Nonlinear Granger causality and Bayesian factor analysis are employed to investigate the nonlinear relationship between ADR and LD. The results indicate the existence of a nonlinear relationship between ADR and LD by employing Bayesian factor analysis, which has never been employed in the related issues. Next, the linear Granger causality findings reveal that the ADRs, which influence Japanese index, are not affected by industry effect rather than by size effects. Overall, most relationships between ADR and LD are nonlinear while the specific turning points of different firms influence LD. Ultimately, we also provide the related policy and economic implications.
