Schema matching plays a key role in many different applications, such as schema integration, data... more Schema matching plays a key role in many different applications, such as schema integration, data integration, data warehousing, data transformation, E-commerce, peer-to-peer data management, ontology matching and integration, semantic Web, semantic query processing, etc. Manual matching is expensive and error-prone, so it is therefore important to develop techniques to automate the schema matching process. In this paper, we present a solution for XML schema automated matching problem which produces semantic mappings between corresponding schema elements of given source and target schemas. This solution contributed in solving more comprehensively and efficiently XML schema automated matching problem. Our solution based on combining linguistic similarity, data type compatibility and structural similarity of XML schema elements. After describing our solution, we present experimental results that demonstrate the effectiveness of this approach.

Based on the approach of Reussner and the approach of Cheung, we proposed the reliability prediction model of component-based software architectures. Also, the value of the model is shown through the experimental evaluation on a web server system.

In the current research, the communication overhead was assessed using a new method that was executed based on components such as: effectiveness of the interconnecting network architecture, delay of nodes, initial communication time and transferring time of one data. The effectiveness of the communication overhead in the parallel computing system was also analyzed using the closed product form queueing network.

Although both high maturity and agility appeared as different ways to address and overcome issues... more Although both high maturity and agility appeared as different ways to address and overcome issues related to software development (including maximizing resources and minimizing risks), there has been a mixed understanding about the possibility for their co-existence within an organization. Outside of the dogmatic debate regarding their co-existence, however, voices have been raised recently that recognize that both approaches have their merits. This paper presents the results of a case study on the practices that a purely agile organization has put in place in order to profit from the opportunities that higher maturity can offer in respect to value creation for clients. Our conclusion is that both high maturity and agility contribute to customer satisfaction, high quality and waste reduction; and that complying with standards does not necessarily impose restriction on 'being agile'. Implication for practice is that companies and their clients can benefit from a development approach that embraces both maturity and agility. To achieve this goal, guidelines are needed that direct organizations towards adopting practices that are linked to higher maturity, as well as to agility.

ABSTRACT This paper focuses on a technological innovation that has been applied in many countries... more ABSTRACT This paper focuses on a technological innovation that has been applied in many countries and still has continuously been researched to enhance its effectiveness - OPC (Openness, Productivity, and Connectivity) Unified Architecture. OPC Unified Architecture (OPC UA) is new specification used for the connection of accessories, based on open form and independent of any technological system. OPC UA gains access to data base and events following its real time or are stored through safe, trustworthy and totally separate connection. The research presented in this paper attempts to introduce the development of an OPC UA specifications and Modbus protocol used for monitoring and controlling air conditioners (i.e., devices). In addition, this also reduces the development time and cost for such applications. This paper has been explained the established to comply with the requirements set forth. Its scope includes the solution to smart monitoring system of air conditioning equipment in compliance with a general industrial standard and a well-known protocol. This solution sets the first foundation for developing a software system based on OPC UA specifications for industrial use.

Together with the global trend, the currently popular accessing model is using Service Oriented A... more Together with the global trend, the currently popular accessing model is using Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), working based on available IT infrastructure following the industrial standard OPC UA, in order to create a new environment providing monitoring, controlling and managing industrial manufacturing system effectively. In this paper, we propose a framework based on the combination between SOA and OPC UA for the designing, improving software systems applied to monitoring, controlling and managing production assembly lines. Also, we provide secuirty solution that are proposed and applied to control and monitoring system based on OPC UA standard. Basing on the proposed framework, software developers can easily implement to design, to build monitoring, controlling systems and to manage different industry assembly lines, ensuring the characteristics of inheriting developing and improving the systems flexibly, being able to enlarge and link among different systems.
