The article presents the analysis of the mental images of human desires and their verbalization t... more The article presents the analysis of the mental images of human desires and their verbalization techniques involved in Bertrand Russell’s Nobel lecture delivered in 1950. Human desires are non-material mental constructs that are not clearly defined in the dictionaries, their verbalization being complicated by the issues related to rationality, psychology of thinking, objectivity, and the variability of individual behavioral reactions. The results of the research suggest that the verbalization of desires is essentially complicated by social and cultural stereotypes. It has been noted that storytelling can be applied as one of the most effective techniques to create the required mental imagery of desires in the recipient’s mind. B. One of the key questions cognitive linguistics has to provide answers to is the question how people cognate knowledge in the process of learning. Any learning procedure is based on acquiring knowledge provided in the verbal form. The optimal way of presenting the verbal knowledge is to provide definitions of the main concepts related to the domain. The present article offers an approach according to which it is possible to discriminate between characteristic and unique feature of the concepts while giving their verbal definitions. The purpose of the publication is to introduce the scientific community to the process of compiling an English-language audio guide for the Lesia Ukrainka Museum, and to analyze the difficulties and advantages of such tasks as part of applied linguists and translators comprehensive training. We believe that today Lesia Ukrainka's works and biography are represented in the global information space insufficiently, although the universality of the topics and the biography of the writer are of great interest to the global audience. Муртузалиев Фейзулла Муртузалиевич ФУНКЦИОНАЛЬНО-СТИЛИСТИЧЕСКИЕ ОСОБЕННОСТИ РАЗГОВОРНОЙ ЛЕКСИКИ Т... more Муртузалиев Фейзулла Муртузалиевич ФУНКЦИОНАЛЬНО-СТИЛИСТИЧЕСКИЕ ОСОБЕННОСТИ РАЗГОВОРНОЙ ЛЕКСИКИ ТАБАСАРАНСКОГО ЯЗЫКА Статья посвящена функционально-стилистической дифференциации разговорной лексики табасаранского языка. Обиходно-разговорная и просторечная лексика табасаранского языка рассматривается с точки зрения экспрессивности, употребительности. Материалом исследования являются словарные единицы табасаранского литературного языка и полевой материал автора, собранный на основе гухрагского говора северного диалекта табасаранского языка. В результате проведенного анализа получены выводы о том, что классификация основных лексических разрядов в составе разговорной лексики определяется степенью и оттенками экспрессивной окраски слов, подчеркивается важность внеязыковых и коммуникативных задач при определении оценочной окраски слов. The theory of language, which explains the natural transfer of information in a way that is functionally coherent, mathematically explicit, and computationally efficient, is in the focus of attention. The article suggests the analysis of the dialogue, generated automatically by a chat robot in view of their further functional and linguistic specification. Widespread information technology is an identical intelligent computer program that contains the knowledge and analytical skills of one or more experts in the field of application and is able to draw logical conclusions based on this knowledge, thereby solving specific problems in designing the process equipment without the presence of an expert (a specialist in a specific problem area). The expert system allows to solve problems in a narrow subject area. The modern realities of introduced automated production do not provide a quality result, because all design decisions are made on the basis of subjective knowledge and intuitive feelings.
