In multilingual contexts, multiple factors account for the way Second Language (L2) learners make sense of the academic texts they read. The students' multilingual and multicultural diversity impacts on their interpretation of academic texts. This article is derived from a work with mixed method but focuses on qualitative design. This article qualitatively analyses how L2 students read and interpret academic texts in South African Universities. Members of a study group were interviewed both as a group and individually. In the end, students' study practices towards academic literacy reveals translanguaging as one strategy of interpreting academic. One argument is that most African Universities have English as a medium of instructions whereas the students are often from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds. This diversity tends to influence the way students read and interpret academic texts.

It is a qualitative survey, grounded in narrative inquiry framework of educational research with the assumptions that humans are social storytelling organisms. With a convenient sampling technique, 619 responses were received from 778 participants. Adopting a participant-centred mode of teaching, participants evaluated the workshop in their own words. With a human cognition of thinking, learning, and understanding, comments were classified into Bloom’s (1956) three learning domains of cognitive, affective, and skills combined with Perry & Booth’s (2021) concept of evaluating facilitators and workshop organizations and Kirkpatrick’s (1998) four levels of evaluation. Participants insisted that this workshop be extended to other schools to build the required foundation for students. They mentioned also that their exposures to contemporary instructional strategies meet the globally acceptable standards and are challenged as 21st century teachers. Participants maintained that they would go back to the classroom with different mind-sets to include learners during lesson planning.

This paper focused on exploring teachers' perceptions of including learners with ASD in mainstream primary schools in Lesotho. Ten practising teachers, pursuing a bachelor’s degree, were selected for semi-structured interviews regarding their experiences teaching learners with ASD. A phenomenological approach was used to analyse their responses. The findings indicate that the Lesotho education system does not adequately support learners with autism. Teachers feel unprepared to accommodate these learners and lack understanding of their needs. The findings suggest various forms of support to help manage ASD effectively. Therefore, a national study is recommended to assess teachers’ needs in supporting learners with autism spectrum disorders, which would inform the successful implementation of the Lesotho Inclusive Education Policy (LIEP) 2018 in mainstream schools.

The need for educators to train and develop students in their capacity to learn is widely recognised (Rickards et al., 2021), pacing with and even outpacing the importance of teaching content (Crocket et al. 2011). However, evidence suggests that many educators and educational institutions lack appropriate resources to meet the learning needs of their students (Goodwin et al., 2020; Pomerance et al. 2016; Rickards et al., 2021). From investigating a wide range of resources, a curated selection of approaches that could support students in their independent learning activities was developed. From this selection, first focussing on what could support my students, then later considering what could support any student, the ‘TRAinERR-MAX Weekly Learning Framework’ and ‘Super-Smart Study Tips Collection’ were developed. While the benefits of applying them through this framework have not been formally assessed, each component of the materials presented is evidence-based to support learning attainment. Hattie (2019) argues that it is not so much further research and development of new strategies that support learning attainment that are critical, but rather support of their implementation that is now required. Prepared inside this argument, this paper intends to facilitate educators’ access to and implementation of a range of strategies by synthesising them into a simple, engaging resource. ‘User’s Guide’ style notes were also developed. The materials presented here are not intended to present the definitive answer of to how to learn. They could, however, be part of the solution.

For example, large language models (LLMs) like ChatGPT are often used when individuals utilize AI systems. This means that researchers in second language learning must begin evaluating the utility of AI-based tools for second language instruction. This study describes the importance of prompt engineering in designing effective prompts for second-language writing feedback. This action research (AR) study revealed that prompts could constrain the usefulness of AI-generated feedback and suggests that, like LLMs, users are few-shot learners. Adapting the prompts and understanding the limitations and constraints that these prompts produce will allow instructors to design prompts to make ChatGPT and other AI-based applications more helpful to learners in second-language composition classes.

Geography is an applied science that over the centuries has shown an evolution both in terms of the objects of study and the way of studying the objects it deals with. Technological development has led its study from
the statics of the classroom, the map and the globe to the study of the use of digital tools and applications. Societies have now become Geo-Information Societies gaining ground against those with mere knowledge of geography. Citizens are now required to have specific skills and qualifications. Suppose linguistic and mathematical literacy were historically requirements for membership in a community of the past. In that case, digital literacy is generally accepted as the passport to the information society, and "belonging" to a "GISociety" will require a particular set of elements of geospatial literacy.

The willingness to take the initiative to learn is obviously more important. At present, project-based learning is widely promoted in the world, and China is no exception, and since 2016, Zhejiang, China, has promoted STEAM education as a promotion curriculum integration. An important starting point for transforming the way you learn. Although project-based learning is widely carried out, there is a lack of quantitative research on the effective organization and implementation of project-based learning and the corresponding learning effects. Educators build and provide learners with supportive learning resources and tailor guiding issues of project-based learning to provide a path to transition from traditional direct teaching to a project-based active learning approach that encourages students to be proactive and seek resources as needed.
