Histopathologic examination showed an infiltrating ductal carcinoma of aberrant breast tissue without metastasis to lymph nodes. We believe that subcutaneous nodules of uncertain origin around the periphery of the breast and especially in the axilla should always be viewed with suspicion and treated by early excision.

The objective of this study was to determine the effect of alcohol consumption during pregnancy on litter size, litter and maternal body weights. Twenty (20) female albino rats divided into five groups AD (n=5) were used. Groups D served as pregnant control and received food and water only. Groups A, B, and C received 0.3g/kg, 0.8g/kg and 2g/kg body weight of ethanol respectively once daily via oral gavage until delivery. Litter sizes and birth weights were recorded on the days of birth. The pups were also examined for any overt physical abnormalities in comparison to those obtained from the pregnant control. The body weights of the treated and control rats before and at the end of the experiment were recorded. Results showed a statistically significant dose-dependent decrease in body weight gain of the rats in groups B and C when compared with the control. Marked reduction in litter size and birth weights were also observed after delivery especially in treatment groups B and C (p<0.05). In conclusion, the present study revealed that alcohol consumption in pregnancy may be associated with negative outcomes in pregnant rats and their litters.

With the information from the sewers, PHC services could organize interventions considering local specificities, in order to enhance their attributes. Sewage Epidemiology would allow being able to monitor spatial and temporal trends, produce results in near-real time (through biosensors), generate information on a population scale, and determine the status of COVID-19 within and among communities. In addition, it would require less public spending compared to clinical testing. Even with the limitations on the optimal coverage of sanitation services in all cities, Sewage emerges as another point to be considered at this pandemic time, presenting itself as a tool that can provide a collective diagnosis in the communities, adding to the strengthening of health, epidemiological and environmental surveillance systems in the country.

Teledentistry can offer an innovative solution to resume dental practics during this pandemic. In this review, we provide a brief overview of applications of teledentistry. Articles on teledentistry, relevant to this review, were searched and consulted from PubMed, Google Scholar, and Cochrane database. Teledentistry is the remote facilitating of dental treatment, guidance, and education via the use of information technology instead of direct face-to-face contact with patients. Teleconsultation, telediagnosis, teletriage, and telemonitoring are subunits of teledentistry that have important functions relevant to dental practice. There are many challenges for acceptance of teledentistry by the dentists as well as patients, which need to be addressed urgently. This review concludes that teledentistry can make it easier to connect dental practices with outreach programs; this allows dental practice to engage in social responsibility and community services. In addition to outreach, dental professionals can improve their practice by enhancing relationships with specialists and consultants as they engage with them more efficiently, and may connect them to the patients when necessary.

The conventional treatment can control infection, while the root development usually remains impaired. Therefore, a regenerative endodontic procedure, the pulp revascularization method has emerged in which a new tissue is expected to be formed from the tissue present in the teeth, allowing for the continuation of the development of the root and at the same time reducing the chances of root fracture during the obturation.

Routine and planned dental care thus became unavailable at the time of the strictest measures, and only emergency care was provided. During the period of gradual relaxation of measures, we performed an evaluation of patients' awareness of measures related to acute dental treatment. Our findings show that, when such events occur, it is necessary to supplement the guidelines for healthcare providers with direct regional guidelines for the population, especially for general medicine, paediatrics and dentistry. The availability of health care and the timely management of acute health problems contribute to reducing complications and hospitalizations, including dental cases.

The study included 109 patients with chronic dacryocystitis, who were examined and restored lacrimal passage by performing endonasal endoscopic dacryocystorhinostomy. In the late postoperative period, the severity of lacrimation was determined by the P.L.Munk scale, the degree of dacryostoma imaging was assessed, and lacrimal function was determined. One year after endonasal endoscopic dacryocystorhinostomy, the final efficacy of treatment was evaluated. Significantly better results were in the group of patients who used the developed method of endonasal endoscopic dacryocystorhinostomy. It was found that the lacrimal implant and preserved mucosal flaps have a negative effect on the restoration of tearing in the late postoperative period. Deterioration of lacrimal function and recurrence of the disease most often occur from the 3rd to the 6th month after undergoing dacryocystorhinostomy, during which time patients need active monitoring.

In the study, it was aimed to isolate probiotic microorganisms from local fermented milk products (white cheese and tulum cheese) and to investigate some properties of these microorganisms in order to be used as nutritional support. Microorganisms were isolated by culture method. They were identified by carbohydrate fermentation and molecular tests. Acid-bile tolerance, exopolysaccharide production, antimicrobial activities and resistance profile against some antibiotics were investigated. Considering the probiotic properties investigated, it is predicted that 5 Lactobacillus spp. strains meet the desired criteria and can be used in the development of new products. In order to support the gastrointestinal microbiota affected by adverse conditions and to provide flora balance, it is important to supplement with superior probiotic products. It is very important to carry out further studies with the probiotic bacteria we obtained from our study and to include these bacteria in probiotic product ingredients in terms of microbiota support.

The concept of the supra-radicular complete removable prosthesis allows the dentist to assume an ... more The concept of the supra-radicular complete removable prosthesis allows the dentist to assume an important role in the preservation of natural teeth and supporting structures. In many cases, the teeth that would be extracted can be conserved and this contributes to improving the retention and stability of the definitive prosthesis in a significant way. Bone is a dynamic tissue. The extraction of teeth causes the initiation of bone resorption. When the tension force is received by the bone of the supporting teeth, supplementary bone formation takes place. These forces are produced when they are transmitted to the alveolar bone via the periodontal ligament. Therefore the supra-radicular complete prosthesis may not be the elixir, but it is a positive means of retarding the process of bone resorption and maintaining bone volume as well as restoring esthetics. The aim of our work is to clarify the keys to success in supra-radicular restorations which require a rigorous pre-analysis to reconcile balance optimization with the advantages and inconveniences which will also be discussed.

Padina australis is a brown algae (Phaeophyceae) specific in Dutungan island Barru, South Sulawesi suspected of secondary metabolic compound. This study aims to determine the level of toxicity and antioxidant active compounds of Padina australis. Extraction of active compounds in P.australis was carried out by maceration method using a solven of methanol, ethyl acetate, and n-hexane. Each extract was tested for its toxicity against Artemia salina L and DPPH as radicals. The results showed that the toxicity test of methanol, ethyl acetate, and n-hexane extract against A.

Patients and Methods: Twenty patients suffered from an OAFwere underwent to pre-operative clinical, and radiological examinations to estimate location and size of the fistulaby computerized tomography (CT). OAF in all patients were closed by three layered (BBG, BFP, andBAF) closure. The postoperative clinical evaluation includedcheek dimensions, graft rejection and intensity of pain in the periods 1 week, 3 weeks, 6 weeks, 3 months. The radiological evaluation by cone beam computerized tomography (CBCT) was done to measure the density and height of the bone in the periods 3 ,6, 9 months. All data were collected and underwent to statistical analysis. Results:The estimated level of pain intensity and cheek dimensions gradually decreased during postoperative intervals with statistically significantdifference (p ≤ 0.05). Thepostoperative radiographic evaluation showed statistically significant increase in bone density measurements during follow-up periods (p ≤ 0.05). While the average measurements of bone height decreased at all postoperative intervals with statistically significant difference (p ≤ 0.05) between3-and 6-monthperiodsonly.Conclusion: Closure of OAF with BBG covered by BFP and BAF is a promising modality togive proper anatomical closure for OAF with excellent soft tissue healing allowing for future implant placement in OAF region.

Literature supports the view that good KAP level is connected with good management of \the health practices. Hence in this study we evaluated the knowledge, attitudes, and practices (KAP) towards COVID-19 among final year dental students. Methods: A prospective, web-based, cross-sectional study was done among 100 final year dental students during October 2020 by a questionnaire using Google forms. p<0.05 was considered significant. Results: On the whole, the students' knowledge concerning COVID-19 was acceptable they have positive attitude and they trailed healthy preventive practices. No significant difference were found among sexes in knowledge and practice though attitude score was prompted by gender. Conclusions: Maximum dental undergraduates had adequate knowledge levels, positive attitude towards COVID-19 and practices. Nevertheless there are some inconsistencies in the opinions of COVID19. Sufficient training and counseling dental students through organized teaching techniques may help in aiding the public in the need of hour.

Methods: A total of 170 children aged 4-5 years with early childhood caries(ECC) and their parent/caregiver seeking dental care at private university dental clinics were included in the present study. The single examiner performed oral examinations of the children using the pufa (pulp, ulceration, fistula, and abscess) index, followed by the self-administration questionnaire of the 13 items in the Early Childhood Oral Health Impact (ECOHIS) scale among the 170 parents/caregivers. Results: The results showed an overall pufa score of (1.76±1.86) and ECOHIS-A score (25.08±8.46). An overall pufa score (1.76±1.86) and ECOHIS-A (25.08±8.46) were found in this study. Thenon-Saudi children (2.55±1.47) compared to the Saudi's (1.65±1.89) showed a significantly higher mean pufa score (p=0.005). Similarly, ECOHIS scores differed between non-Saudi (32.64±11.2) and Saudi (23.95±7.39) children (p<0.001). The children aged four years (2.19±2.07) demonstrated a significantly higher mean pufa score than the 5-year-old (1.16±1.29) children (p=0.002).ECOHIS scores showed a significant difference between pufa=0 and pufa>0, (p<0.001). Mean ECOHIS score and pufa score showed a significant positive correlation (r=0.343, p<0.001). Conclusion: It was concluded that the untreated early childhood caries with pulpo-periapical extension negatively affected the quality of life of 4-5 years children and their families.

Ozone being considered as a perfect substance for use in dental procedures, is nowadays taking the pathway of conventional dentistry in following a minimally invasive and conservative application to dental treatment. But still in developing countries its awareness and popularity are less due lack of knowledge. Thereby, purpose of this systematic review was to make the clinicians aware about its effectiveness and the biological effects of ozone therapy in all fields of dentistry.

The removal of theses gutta percha may be difficult or impossible, this situation may necessitate the periapical surgery which may not amenable due to close proximity to vital structures, thus intentional replantation may considered the best treatment option in such cases.
