This also extends to the world of education, even in Islamic religious education. In its adaptation, of course, the right method and support from adequate learning media are needed so that the implementation can run well and effectively. So that the learning objectives can be achieved. The purpose of this study was to analyze the role of the media in learning Islamic religious education, the challenges faced in education in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0, and examples of learning media that utilize technology. This study uses content data analysis techniques and critical assessment analysis. Data collection from journals, ebooks and other relevant references according to the theme. The results of the study show that the media has an important role in learning Islamic religious education so that it is more effective and efficient in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0, the challenge of education lies in instilling values in students, E-Learning and the Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) are examples. learning media by utilizing technology.
