Materials and methods: The surgical treatment results were evaluated 13 and 36 months after the surgery. The retrospective analysis included 21 patients (17 men and 4 women) with femoral head fractures combined with the acetabulum posterior wall fractures. Pipkin and Brumback classifications were used to classify the fractures. Results: The results of acetabulum posterior wall fractures delayed treatment are significantly different to the ones treated with early osteosynthesis. The reasons for that are difficulties in anatomical repositioning, femoral head malnutrition due to its displacement or chronic subluxation, reduced blood supply to the fragments due t...

Objective. Highlight the most significant technological developments in the design of implants and assistive technologies for hip and knee arthroplasty. Results. The development of hip and knee arthroplasty is associated with the desire to improve treatment outcomes, reduce complications and increase the survival of implants. The emphasis is placed on some of the most interesting, in our opinion, trends in this area. It has been shown that metal-to-metal friction steam implants are used to replace the articular surface of the hip joint, but the method is the best option only for active men with a large hip joint. New approaches involve the use of friction pairs «ceramic – ceramic» or «metal – polyethylene». The creation of smaller femoral components of endoprostheses (mini-legs) for THA is aimed at preserving bone tissue and achieving physiological load. Dual mobility endopr...

Their age was over 50 years, which may partly explain the failure of mosaicoplasty. Conclusion: The medium-term result of mosaicoplasty for advanced osteochondritis was good. A broader series would better support the results. The long-term outcome remains another point to be studied.

In our study, we concluded that in patients with chronic non-specificinflammatory diseases of the genitals of men and women, the phagocytic activity of polymorphonuclear leukocytes is reduced mainly by the oxygen-dependent mechanism, and tissue - by the oxygen-independent. As an exception in patients with chlamydial infection, the phagocytic activity of tissue polymorphonuclear leukocytes was also reduced by an oxygen-dependent mechanism.
