One of the most important measuring tools is Balanced Scorecard (BSC) that balanced between measuring the performance from financial and non-financial aspects of organizations. Although the BSC has been applied widely in many organizations, its implementation was limited to a few studies in the public educational sector. Also, most of BSC implementation was manual or through spreadsheet applications like Microsoft Excel, which made the process of tracking the performance challenging and unorganized. Therefore, the purpose of this work is using technology to solve a major managerial issue by automating the BSC in a full-scale system that enables the user to track, monitor and evaluate the performance continuously, to ensure that organization is moving in the right direction to achieve its goa...

The importance of securing the images contents is due to the simplicity of capturing and transferring of digital images in various communication media. Although there are many approaches for image encryptions, chaos-based image encryption approach is considered one of the most appropriate approaches because of its simplicity, security, and sensitivity to the input parameter. This research paper presents a new technique for encrypting RGB image components using nonlinear chaotic function and DNA sequence. A new image with the same dimensions of the plain-image is used as a key for confusions and diffusion process for each RGB components of plain-image. Experimental results show the efficiency of the proposed technique, simplicity, and high level of resistant against several cryptanalyst.

The information hiding scheme can be classified into two main application fields: steganography and watermarking. There is a considerable amount of published work in this field. However, little work addresses information hiding from the user's point of view. Potential problems, user requirements, evaluation and protection are introduced. The results illustrate that normal users prefer watermarking rather than steganography.

This paper proposed a remote ECG simulation to assisting vital signs in healthcare, namely ECG Simulation using Fourier Series approximation. A single period of an ECG signal that contains P, Q, R, S, T and U waves is in sinusoidal/triangular shapes, periodic and satisfies Dirichlet’s conditions. Periodic Fourier Series also satisfies the condition and is expressed in terms of sine and cosine functions, thus Fourier Series is used to represent the ECG signal. All waves in the ECG signal are analyzed in choosing suitable representation of the shape. The combination of all waves which yields the ECG signal is calculated and programmed in Microsoft Visual Basic 2008 (MSVB2008). The results obtained could be run remotely on mobile devices using Microsoft Remote Desktop. Further details of results might be improved by proper consultations from medical practitione...

Conventional relational databases are queried using the underlying constructs of SQL which are translated into Relational Algebra (RA). Relational Algebra (RA) is the writing of logical expressions that uses a set of relational operators to perform operations on specific relation(s) and returns results as relation. RA operations are not applied on querying temporal database, because temporal database holds a sequence of snapshot relations. Approach: This study focuses on the retrieval of temporal database, by extending RA to TRA. TRA is involved to help querying temporal database that is modeled using Tuple Timestamp Historical Relation (TTHR) Model. Results: A technique for querying temporal database modeled by TTHR is the topic of this study. We examine the current issues and problems in temporal database and propose data retrieval optimization technique for temporal database. Conclusion: We proposed a data retrieval optimization technique for querying temporal database; this technique applies for the temporal database applications that are modeled by TTHR.

This research work is concerned with the specific class of complicated objects, i.e. logo. The progress, particularly in this field, is still at extensive research work level, due to infinite varieties of shapes and classes which are used. Essentially, the algorithm proposed is based on Principle Component Analysis (PCA) approach. In this technique, the PCA is used to extract the features, kept inherent in the normalized pattern for later matching process. In the matching process, the extracted features of unknown pattern are mapped onto formulated feature spaces, and the distance between the source symbol and modeled symbols is used as a decision making tool. To this end, an experiment is designed and performed where the electroencephalogram (EEG) brain activities of 17 participants are recorded, using Emotiv EPOC neuroheadset, while they are listening to selected verses from the Quran. At the end of each trail, the participant provides a self-assessed happiness-unhappiness feedback and, at the same time, valence-arousal values are calculated from receded EEGs using fractal dimension method based on Higuchi algorithm. These values are used to train a classifier that recognizes two emotional states, happy and unhappy. The classifier is trained using random forest algorithm and the achieved recognition accuracy is 87.96%.

Some of these representations violate First Normal Form (1NF) by using Non-First Normal Form (N1NF) prototypes and temporal nested representations, while others simulated the concepts of temporal data with relational data representation without violating 1NF. In this article, a new interval-based knowledge representational data model with an optimized retrieval techniques are employed for modeling and optimality retrieve a biomedical time-varying data (factors/observations that affect the diabetes). The used time-related data model is more compact to represent time-varying data with less memory (capacity) storage with respect to the main representations in the literature, but which is as expressive as those representations (a transformation algorithms show that data represented in this model can be transferred to/from the representations in the literature with zero percent loss of information). A new data structure is defined with the optimal retrieval techniques to prove some basic properties of the used time-model and to ensure that the time-model is an extension and reduction of the main representations in the literature, namely TQuel and BCDM. The expressive power, reducibility, and easy implementation of the proposed model, especially for the legacy systems, are considered as advantages of the proposed model.

Such data model violates 1NF and it is difficult to be implemented on top of conventional Database Management Systems (DBMS). The reason behind that, IBPTDM cannot directly use relational storage structure or query evaluation technique that depends on atomic attribute values as well as it is unfixed attribute size. 1NF model with its features can be used to solve such challenge. Modeling timevarying data in 1NF model raise a question about memory storage efficiency and ease of use. A novel approach for representing temporal data in 1NF model and compare it with other main approaches in literature is the main goal of this research. To this end, a mathematical model for comparing a three different storage models is demonstrated to illustrate that the proposed model is more efficient than other approaches under certain conditions. The simulation results showed that the proposed model overcomes the needless redundancy of data, achieves saving in memory storage, and it is easy to be implemented in relational data model or to be adapted with a production systems that need to track temporal aspects of functioning database Systems.
